Not big on tamiya or scale rcs but that is the only one I have. Og body painted beautifully. I did the sacrilege a bit and trimmed the chassis to fit square 2s lipo. Modernised the electronics tho. I drove it a bit, mild scratches 😢 sits in box now. When weather gets better I might take it out

It is a sharp looking truck. I would have been 5 when this was made. I understand your love for vintage things and I am the same way. 32 now and still feel like I'm 16 lol

Man Josh, the only Vintage I like to refer to is the bodies. Never cause of the underneath spaghetti wires. Lol. Truck looks nice and of coarse it has a lot to do with what era bodies you’re into. I have a couple of old radios I think I throw away. If I still have them I’ll hit you up if you’re interested. Free!. Vintage!. 😂

WOW! Yeah, I got the Toyota Prerunner version and still have it. When I got my truck back in 1995 I believe I paid about $450 for the kit and electronics. Worked my but off to save up and get it. I recently got the TAMIYA 1/10 R/C Opel Calibra V6 (TA02), TAM47461, and built it but put the offroad tires on it. I did find a clear NEW Toyota Prerunner body that I'm trying to find the Stickery for it before I paint it.

My first RC was in 1987 and was a golden arrow buggy from Radio Shack. That was lots of fun hill climbing! I ended up drowning it in a big puddle.
@chrishorst1318 Жыл бұрын
I saw some good vids on youtube of ppl refurb n hop up the Golden Arrow. Its impressive the performance ppl got out of it at high speeds. Its an ok design seemingly.

@@chrishorst1318 It was a pretty fast little car. I remember doing wheelie's and spinning dirt up some long hills. The battery definitely didn't last long enough. Still fun playing cars today!

@@rccrawlingaddict207 is'nt there 1other rc from that time that is same as golden arrow but branded differently...like radio shack possibly. Idk 4 sure...thought i saw a vid bout it tho.

@@chrishorst1318 Very possible. I was new to it then and after I drowned it in a puddle, that was the end of RC's for me for almost 40yrs.

MST has the TOYOTA body you want, and can come separately, or with either a CMX (crawler) chassis, or the MTX (iirc) (a cool monster truck) chassis. I'd love to see you get the MT and build it. I think you'll enjoy it.

A company called Team Blue Groove in Canada do repro bodies for most old Tamiyas I'm sure they do both this and the yota shells! They have some awesome shells in the line up including the King Cab, the 959 and the Celica Grb. Been looking at making some replica RCs!

Hey buddy, I am desperately trying to find this F-150 Kit. I know it's been discontinued, but I had this batboy 25+ years ago and had a great time putting together with my dad. Today I have a daughter myself and she is really excited to have an RC Kit and I wish I could find the same one I built with my old man. Any idea where to find? I even thought about buying a TA02 chassis and possibly upgrade the parts for the Truck version. Any ideas? Great video man! Bring me back so many memories.

ebay is the only place I can find things like this anymore. unfortunately this being an off road truck most of them were driven hard by us back in the day, lol. The only real difference between this version and the standard ta02 is the shocks, tires wheels and body. even my body is a reproduction, so that might be the route to take. I know its not as fun not having the box and instructions and all just like we did back in the 90's.

I got a clodbuster square body. I'm looking for a chassis a 2 wheel drive or 4. But I want it slammed. What would you recommend.
@RCeveryday Жыл бұрын
I put a clod body on a ta02 a few years back on the channel. It was a little wide and I had to shorten the body a little. It was rough but cool. To do it right, Id suggest a tamiya M06 chassis. Rear wheel drive, adjustable wheel base chassis, you could easily lengthen it long enough to fit the clod wheelbase. The m series chassis are narrow enough to tuck the tire and wheel on a body like that.

I have a TAO2T chassis and want to convert it to a TAO2 setup for a touringcar. Can you please tell me if it’s possible and what I need for that. Looking for 260mm wheelbase. Googled it but couldn’t find anything useful. TIA.

@RCeveryday Жыл бұрын
The s-10 had been re-released as well as the f150 i think. Not sure which had blue but I do remember seeing one with it. But the original releases were all red from what I have seen on tamiya base and other sites.
