8:15 - this rear carbon shock tower looks like an XV-01 long damper stay 👌 10:04 - i think they're the same on the outside, i dont see the difference, it looks like youre holding 1 of them the wrong way round 🧐🤔
@dariorcgarage11 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes that's a shock tower from XV-01 Long Damper, but the idea of the video is to "give the freedom" to adapt what you have around in order to obtain this result. Thanks for pointing it out, my mistake while filming. The outer part has been trimmed a bit too by my friend, thought was important to share this detail too

hello. 4WD front damper hard, soft on the rear. Try a few times and you'll find the run you want. After 2WD drive, the rear shock absorber is hard, and the front shock absorber is soft. The front drive is hard on the front shock absorber. I hope it was helpful

The rear one it's from Tamiya XV-01 (hopup) the damper's should be 5-6cm if I remember correctly

What is the front damper stay? the rear looks like from an xv01?
@dariorcgarage11 ай бұрын
The rear is from XV-01, the front one I don't know since this chassis it's not mine. But you can try to adapt whatever you have
@Reindeer9115 ай бұрын
OK, I'm not following why you need to create both the differential steering angles for a rally car, and why the extreme turning radius for the spindles. I understand the reasons why you would want to do that for a drift car as they need that in order to counter-steer while drifting. But why do that on a rally car unless drifting in the dirt is what you have in mind?
@dariorcgarage5 ай бұрын
Because in Rc Rally we race on tight courses with narrow corners, so for a good Rally setup you need a big steering angle. For bashing around it's just necessary to increase the ground clearance. Take a look at this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZjPn2t_ptasjKMsi=6Ct-CWD1NSdm2e2y

@@dariorcgarage I'm referring to the lower chassis. I have upgraded mine to the Hop Up Options hard chassis. Do you think an upper brace is still needed if you use the hard chassis option?

0er quanto apprezzi l'inventiva la macchina non performerà mai come la xv01, bella idea ma io a sto punto lascerei la tt02 al touring e comprerei una xv01.
@fupak11 ай бұрын
The regular TT02 has a big problem. Even the width is 190mm same as type s, but actually the arms of TT02 is shorter only the wheel offset to reach 190mm. Check the TRF arms that come with type S, are much longer than the regular TT02 arm. The consequence is unstable as the actual wheel base is narrow
@dariorcgarage11 ай бұрын
Good point! Some offset could also help

@dariorcgarage meaningless to tune camber, it just makes the steering only worse

I have a very bad experience using the TT-02 Rally. Low quality and reliability. There are a lot of breakdowns, a lot of wear and tear, and it requires a lot of spare parts and tuning. Fragile plastic in the cold. Now I only use HSP FF.
