All good sensible mods youve done there. The cover might be as ugly as a musket wound, but it does the job and that's what matters. 👍

I like the leather spacers for the body mounts as well.

11:04 bearings Rubber sealed bearings are used on wet tracks and metal sealed bearings are used on dusty, and sandy dirt tacks. Ceramic bearings are used for road racing, just make sure to strip down and clean every 2-4 months depending on how often you use the car

I'd like to do a running video. I've since noticed that the suspension balls popping out has started happening in the top arms as well. I've also just discovered that Tamiya makes steel balls to replace the plastic ones. I'm going to try that as a cheaper alternative to replacing the whole arms with aluminium hop-ups.

Yeah I have a few tto2s that found the ball joints popping out but on one of them I was racing it in a class where there are no mods other than shocks and bearings so I cleaned up all the pivot balls and put a layer of tape around the bit of the steering knuckle that lined up to the ball joints and then stretched the ball joints around it and popped them back in they now have no play and don’t pop out and I don’t have to worry about the tape wearing away because it turns with the knuckle not the arm it will wear out eventually at which point I will get new front lower arms and pivot balls
