A package from EuroRC arrived with the most essential upgrade and hop-up option of any Tamiya TT-02B RC Car Buggy! Welcome to the first step of upgrading the TT-02B and a complete guide to how to install a full set of ball bearings in your TT-02Buggy: Neo Scorcher, Plasma Edge II, Dual Ridge, XB or Assembly Kit.

As shown in the video, to install a full set of ball bearings in your Tamiya TT-02B you will need 16 ball bearings in total: 4 x 1280 (size 8 x 12 x 3,5) and 12 x 1150 (size 5 x 11 x 4). The 4 x 1280 bearings are for the differentials, the center outdrives use 4 x 1150 bearings and the wheel axles use the remaining 8 x 1150 bearings.
In this video I used a set of Tamiya TT-01E Metal Shielded Ball Bearings. It includes an additional 4 x 850 sized ball bearings not used for the TT-02B but you can of course use other packages, like full sets for the TT-01, TT-02B and DF-02 (please note that the TT-02 Touring Car bearing sets does NOT include the right amount and sizes for the TT-02B and that certain sets for the DF-02 only includes the bearings for the wheel axles).
You can of course also buy the 1280 and 1150 bearings separately, and mix rubber sealed bearings (for off road use) and metal sealed bearings (for minimum friction) as you please.
'Phase 1' of this series will include a variety of essential upgrades and options, batteries, motors and a couple of aluminium hop-ups. This series will focus on the top speed and the TT-02B as an on road speed test car.
