Well Mark, my man, I have to say, I'm quite impressed by that Rally-spec TT-02 of yours. 8.63 seconds is a VERY impressive time on that course! Well done, sir. You guys earned that win! - But how about the fact that we both hit a 9.10??? That's insane! I had to go back and double-check my time and sure enough pal, bang-on! Unreal, isn't it? This competition is a blast, and although team Kyosho is down on the scorecard, team Tamiya isn't out of the woods just yet! Enjoy your victory, my friend. Team Kyosho is coming back with a vengeance! 😎😎😎

Well Fil, as I said in the video, the TT02 may be the underdog but it is actually a decent handling chassis after only a few tweaks. Both hitting exactly 9.10 is amazing for sure, just shows how closely matched we are! I think using the video timestamps is definitely the most accurate way we could measure this so it must be right that we tied on those runs! I'm really enjoying this shootout too, pal, lets get our heads together and come up with the next challenge. Victory totally enjoyed here, but I know your day will come! Let's do it!!!! 🍻😎👊👍

Well, after chatting with some other RC rally folks, I hear the Kyosho stock rally tires aren't so good for off-road compared to the traditional rally block tires that come with Tamiya kits. They do have insane grip on wet conditions though. I've actually got a set coming today that are really close to the pattern, but the cleats are more spread out, so hopefully gives a better dig in the sand and gravel I run in. The stock Kyosho tires are more of an all terrain in my opinion, and the tread looks really close to those fancy expensive Jetko Couragia tires. All the best to you both, and it's great to see some rally action! 🚗💨🏁

I have three sets of Rally blocks, one set that are on one car have worn much quicker than the other, must be a different compound.😢😢
@scaleworksRC7 ай бұрын
@@allanritchie1539 There's that, too. Different compounds and the trade offs!
@MarkBryanRC7 ай бұрын
That's very interesting, thanks! I find the Tamiya rally blocks to be inconsistent when it comes to grip. My backup chassis had so much less rear grip than the first chassis. But the backup had older rubber which may explain it. Thanks for the good wishes, same to you my friend! 😎👍

Thanks! Yeah I wanted to agree that it was a draw after Fil was so gracious to call the speed test a draw. But we decided half a second was quite significant when the total run times were only 8 or 9 seconds! Cheers 😎 👍 🍻

Hiya mate. Hey this across the pond colab is rather cool isn't it? Surprising how close the times were in the end given all the variables in play. I like the way you had a spare TT-02 on hand to carry on the challenge. Did the first one have a servo saver fitted or a solid arm? Anyway it looks like a new servo is required. I think Fil had a better bit of tarmac over there so I'd add a couple of seconds for that! Good stuff and happy Friday to you and yours 😁👍👍
@MarkBryanRC7 ай бұрын
Hi there Pete. Yeah we're having a blast with this shootout malarkey! I couldn't believe that I was a little faster than Fil on that last run (and it really was the last run I filmed!) but I thing Fil could have matched it if he tried all day long! Yeah the first car had an alloy servo horn, I think it trashed the servo on that speed run tumble. The "spare" chassis might have been a little editing magic (I did discuss it with fil!) 🤣🤣 I agree mate, Fil's car park was cleaner than mine! All the best mate! 😎👊👍

You navigated your way around those cones (and animals!) like a pro dude, credit where it's due, some awesome driving!!! I'm actually quite surprised that the mighty Fazer is having its butt whipped by a TTO2!!! Loving this series mate, absolute class entertainment Sir! 🙏 👍 👍 👍

Many thanks James! Haha, that backup car! Some chat's with Fil and a bit of artistic editing mate! 🤣 All agreed and above board! Yeah Rob just had to stand and point but he did have a go with his Buggyra Fat Fox as you will soon see... Apart from the numerous wipeouts I did manage to get my eye in eventually and racked up several clean runs, harder than it looks as you say! TT02 leads for now but that may change. Glad you're enjoying it my good mate! 🤗👊👍

There's just something about Tamiya's, I am drawn to them every time I'm in the hobby shops. You have a very nice car in your hands sir, but in performance I woud have to give the Kyosho 1 point above the Tt02. 😢 Very cool video, makes me smile when I see you having fun.
