Hiya Pete! Good job! Chassis looks splendid, and great job with the new shocks. Enjoyed. Looking forward to part 3 now. Best Tamiya times to you, my friend.

Hiya Mikael. Yeah it's a nice little chassis and I think that the oil shocks work well on it. Always a pleasure to build these kits isn't it? Thanks for watching my friend. See you on the next one :-)

Great work Pete. Don't blame you for changing the shocks and thanks for showing us which spacers to use along with all the other tips. Keep 'em coming mate all the best

Hi there. The body took weeks but is done now do I just need to edit together the video for next week. Haven't actually run this yet but I think it's going to fly with the brushless set. Many thanks for watching and your comments 😀

A very excellent installation, Pete! Great tips along the way, you sure are good at these build videos! This RC is going to be so much fun - looking forward to the final reveal and the ensuing fun of the first run. Hope you are enjoying the new bit of freedom, I enjoyed seeing you and Saran in the pub enjoying a good old pint! Take care, mate, and enjoy what's left of the weekend! Best wishes from Mark... :O)

Hiya Mark. Well you know I just copied this other bloke who does RC build videos on KZbin. Couldn't quite do the Brummie accent though 😂 I'm just editing the final part of the build. I must say that my Willy looks magnificent 😁 Yes it is great to be able to do things again. We went to the beer festival yesterday which was brilliant. Hope you are ok mate. Give me a shout if you want a natter anytime. Thanks for your comments and take it easy 😁

You do great build videos Pete, very useful tips. I do like the this kit but never had the pleasure of owning one. They always look so good in action.

Hi there. Yes this is a kit to get if you want a body shell project that will take you a while. I'm looking forward to running this once I get the final part edited and hopefully the weather cheers up. Many thanks for watching and your nice comments my friend. Much appreciated 😁

Brilliant Pete!! I'm still catching up... I'm so far behind, because my very special Grand Hauler Build has consumed me! 😁 I keep forgetting that top Tip of using Super Glue in Suspension and Shock fittings. Such a good idea! Also, I think you've balanced your Shock weights perfectly!! 👍👍 I do find it funny that the things that look like Frame Rails - do NOTHING but hold on the Body Mounts. 😖 I should really get a WW!! Just looks like FUN! 😉😊 Cheers 🍻 Mate! Hope you're having a great Weekend.. Going to your next one now. 😉

Hi Carmine. Many thanks. Yeah I find that certain screws shake loose eventually if I don't glue them. This is a good project if you like to have quite a few bits to paint and by the looks of your Grand Hauler, you do like painting bits. I need to go and have a look at how you are doing with that. Anyway I see that you have commented on the final part of this so I'll catch you in a minute. Ta ta for now :-)

YESSIR.... I love painting bits!! Love Scratchbuilding bits. Good at Weathering, not so good at Painting tiny details anymore. 😞 I'm starting to really get going on my Interior!!

Hi Pete, hope you’re keeping well. Nice completion to the chassis, looking forward to seeing the Wild Willy running with that Absima combination. Weather up here in Cambridgeshire still not great, so having to resort to ‘tinkering’. Finally managed to get my extension cables finished, looking forward to getting my Arrma out again. Honestly, listen to me! Hooked on the Arrma 😆😆😆 all the best. John

Hiya John. Yeah the weather here is crap yet again. Haven't been out RC'ing for ages. Got a beer festival to go to today. Luckily there is some shelter from the weather there. Anyway I haven't run this one yet but I'm not going to go mad with it because I don't want to damage the body which took ages to finish. Just getting the final part of the build video together for next week. Hope you manage to get the RC's out before too long. Best wishes to you my friend 😁

Interesting to see that although by name it’s the same chassis as the comical but in fact the front steering knuckles are slightly different. Yours has the white plastic where the comical hornet/grasshopper is all black and they come with oil filled dampers standard. Interesting to see these small evolutions. What difference do you expect out of the brushless? I upgraded to the 20T pinion and a 550 15T silver can and it basically made 1MPH increase on the standard can. I know you’ve said in the past these are fairly highly geared so not allot to play with.
@PeteWylieRC3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Yeah they do chop and change what you get with the same chassis on different kits. I think that more of the money of this kit is in the body with all the different bits and roll bars etc. so they left out the shocks. Speed wise out of the brushless I would hope for 20mph +. I got 22mph out of my Dump Truck on the same set up but 4wd so probably similar. Not sure that I'll do a speed test on this because I don't want to roll the body over on a road and ruin it. Will stick to grass but obviously that will be slower. This one is going to be for light bashing and hopefully not breaking. Many thanks for watching and your great feedback :-)

@@PeteWylieRC I do love the Wild Willy. When / if I can I’ll get a body kit so I can drop it on the comical. As you say allot of money goes into that body. Cheers Pete
