Very nice. Just a suggestion. Speak with your insurance agent to make sure your collection and video equipment is insured correctly. If your carrier calls your KZbin Channel a business then your homeowners policy won’t cover any of it. Doesn’t hurt to check…and yes…the “Adj” is for Adjuster….some free insurance advise. Happy New Year.

Awesome collection and display! I have two of these cabinets, one is for my Ford Capri model car collection and the other for my static model kits. On those I use some 5mm wire clamps that I have filed down on the inside of the U bolts so they fit over the rods which is about 6mm. That was the cheapest option for me. Then I got some free window glass on FB marketplace which the chap used to house his model ships in. And I cut those down with a glass cutter myself. One tip, you gotta have a diamond tip cutter. The steel roller ones is just up to the task. I ruined many glass pieces before I realized that I had to buy a diamond cutter. Think I paid around 6 pounds or so. For my rc car collection I use a big square glass cabinet I bought for cheap many years ago. It is 39cm deep so many goes in without trouble facing outwards, but as you said, touring cars tend to be longer. Later I will add a small window board at the back so I can extend the rear a bit so all will go in without trouble. Each shelf is 56cm wide so I'm able to fit two on each shelf. Later I will add lights and then I can remove the wood and glass doors so I can see them properly. As you, I really enjoy watching them. When I'm finished I might do a video tour on them. Being ME ill in periods and low income means all this work takes ages. But I get there in the end :-) Cheers from Norway and Happy New Year to you Glenn.

Hey Glen, I didn’t have a chance to comment about it but if you’re in need of a “spare chassis” to display the body set from the Scirocco video you made… You could always get a TT-02 to use as a display chassis. But then I forgot that you mentioned that you have too many and well… I kinda agree that even if it is a static-only chassis, having too many just for the sake of mounting a body on is a bit boring. I have heard the TA-04 got re-released as well as the option FRP chassis upgrade so perhaps it’s not a bad idea to use one of those re-release kits. On the other hand, you could find an XV-01 and sit the GC8 “Monte Carlo Rally” body on what is Tamiya’s newest rally-spec chassis and being that the XV-01 shares the same wheelbase and body mounting locations as the TT-01 and TT-02, it would likely be at home on that than the TT-01. In fact, I think an XV-01 build and hop-up video would be epic! Lastly, I’ve heard that The Falcon got a 2021 re-release. Any chance of a comparison video where we get to see the differences between the original and this recent re-release? Anyway mate, love the videos! Keep it up, mate.
@TAMIYALegends3 жыл бұрын

Nice collection. Been wanting to ask these 2 questions for a while. 1) do you put these on a small stand so there is no weight put on the shocks, arms, etc chassis in general? 2) do you drain all the oil from each damper before you display a car? Just wondering Cause I have few cars I built that are sitting and I want to do whatever is best to not damage them. Thanks
