Would Vorinclex also potentially work as a curve-topper? Playing it would mean that any Tamiyo's that come down after it can ultimate immediately and have three loyalty afterwards, not to mention that it can help in some cases against opposing +1/+1 counter synergy and partners decks.

Certainly a good curve topper, although it's not the best card for stabilizing a board, which is often what's required. That's why cards like Cyclone Summoner and Koma are the go-to options for a lot of ramp decks.

Cist reduction does weaken the overall selection of Deluge, but I think it becomes an overall more efficient card as the cost goes down. 2 mana draw 2 at instant speed is tasty.

the Quandrix Planeswalker from strixhaven could be a good pair with Tamiyo, to make her take her notebook 1 turn earlier. Also now there are a critical mass of planeswalkers in standard that can have a lot of sinergy with the (don't remember name) quandrix planeswalker

The main issue is that most of your early ramp would also get swept up. And if you want to focus on Dryad as ramp it's difficult to support in a three color deck. There are more ramp options at three mana, although especially on the draw they can be a turn too slow. It would probably turn into a Bant control deck with early spot removal as opposed to a ramp deck, which could also be a viable strategy. Although at that point I don't know if there would be enough synergy to justify including Tamiyo, but perhaps the +1 and -7 are sufficient.

Man, next time remind me to read as much story as I can before I watch games! Tamiyo is biggest storyline spoiler I've run into since I got back into Magic haha. (I actually got a wiki edit notification where someone added the card, just before seeing this thumbnail, so you're off the hook :P) And yes, some might argue that the shock of seeing a card representing a huge story beat is the whole point of storytelling built around a collectible card game, and you might be right :)

Most ultimates they use an emblem, partly for this reason...I don't know if they chose not to this time because they WANTED it to be interactable, or just because they didn't want to figure out how to template the equivalent of a tap ability on an emblem, hm.

There will only be 1 valid version in any format. In standard, it's the printed version. In historic, it's the Arena version.

Had it in there for a brief moment, but the main plan is to ramp from 2 to 4 mana. Going from 3 to 5 is still nice for some of the Planeswalkers, but there's not as much need for it.
