"Galactic Heartbeats" is a reflection on humanity's place in the vast universe. If you really think about it, humans are such tiny, insignificant beings when compared to the vast universe. Despite being few atoms, we have the power to create meaning in the world and empathize with everything around us. This song contrasts the universe's indifference with our capacity to care, reminding us that we have the power to make a difference. I wrote this piece to inspire listeners to take ownership of their actions and start a ripple of kindness. If we want to live in a kind world, kindness must start with us.

Glad to finally get to hear the full version. I like how you experiment with different styles for your songs. This song in particular really appeals to me because I like gentle melodic music in particular. You mentioned in your description how you took some post rock inspiration from Sigur Ros, when I read that it made me remember how I used to listen to Sigur Ros a bunch when I was younger. Thanks for the bit of nostalgia. Definitely going to go support you over on Bandcamp. I look forward to what you come up with next!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy my experiments with many styles because I keep hearing advice to pick 1 genre and even specific type of sounds, so people can easily identify that it’s me. But I just love many styles of music and wanted to do what’s best to communicate the message of each of my songs. And yesss sigur ros is magical. I was obsessed with post rock during university - sigur ros, mum, and stars are among my favorites. I thought hopeful post rock sounds would be perfect for this song. My next release would be a music video for this song, which I’m still editing at the moment :) Thank you again for your thoughtful comment. It’s very encouraging to me 💛
