She sounded wonderful here, it is hard to believe that she died a month later. Wow! Thanks for keeping her memory alive. She was the best and we loved her so very very much. She will always be the best there ever was in female country music. Thank you for keeping her legacy alive today. My daughter and granddaughter, now 16, love her to pieces. We sing along and wow what emotions she brings us. Saw Tammy in Plattsburg in1989 and she was great and so humble for such a big star. Thanks again!

Thank you for posting this clip. It is hard to watch. I have been a fan of Tammy's music for over twenty years. I remember the day that she pass away, I was shock because she was one of my divas in my book. Tammy we love you and miss you.

There are few great marriages that make it - I think Tammy & George really loved each other and she tried to "Stand By Her Man" for so many years. But there comes a point when you can no longer do it and they got to that point. It was great that they could still continue to do shows and sing together. She has such a unique voice - you always know it's her song by her voice. I can watch videos of her and George over and over again. I hate she had to leave us. Thanks so much for posting this

Singing performance yes, she sang Stand By Your Man and Take Me To Your World on this show. She was on the Maury Povich Show a few days after this aired, but not singing, just talking about cheating spouses and reasons to or not to Stand By Your Man

Hard to watch this. It is hard to think that this is the same lady as even a couple years before. You can hear in her voice that she is not well, she sounds quite breathy in places if that makes sense. She is still an amazing singer and her legacy will live forever. Tammy Wynette IS the First Lady of Country Music!!

Tammy , thanks to your song ( this song ) i thank God that a nice girl in 1975 asked me for a dance and since than we stay together , when we celebrate our 35 year wedding day ( 23 januari 2011 ) we were at a dance cafe and our 28 year daughter asked to the country band that was playing live to play the song *stand by your man *and i can tell you the tears came in our eyes Never forget this song and it s sad to see this clip were Tammy is in a bad shape Tammy whe both love ya

Yeah I watch this and CRY my eyes out especially when I see other footage on here where she eases into "Keep Givin all the love you caaaaaaaaaan!!!!!" without any effort whatsoever. And I'm not talking about clips from the 60's and 70s......There's a few from 1993-94 om Markriss' channel (including one that was cut a little short due to time constraints on the original TV show it was from) which was maybe three months after she had Pneumonia in 1994 and she still had to put very little effort

sobefobik ... Gosh yes...There's an interview of her in her house with an huge ash tray filled with butts . In the 90s she was hospitalized for bile duct infection - after more than 30 years as a smoker, she quit . "I couldn't have them in the hospital. And when I came home I simply didn't want one. God took away my craving for cigarettes, I guess. And my voice has gotten so much stronger. I always said that I'm not the best singer in the world, just the loudest. Well now I'm louder than ever."

My first girl both of us is 22, my car a perfectly 49 Ford , we go to some new RI. mall, #95 just opened up, I get into prov ri and this came on AM radio of course, I said this is a hit .. The car was one of them cant hear it running flatheads she was just as beautifcal as the car = is this is the future .beg borrow steal just to go there now cant afford the car now she's 65 . done never forget it.

This was indeed 1998... it was March 1998 as a matter of fact... only a little over a month before she died. It was to be her last televised appearance before her untimely death in April that same year. If memory serves... she was filling in for an ill Loretta Lynn on this evening and that is the reason she was on the show that night... it was last minute...

I don't think this is 1998 either cause Tammy died that year. She was pretty sick at the end. This was probably earlier.
