Back to the beginning...for me it was silicone flip cups...but believe it or not in the very beginning of my journey I saw someone squirtng in WD-40 and plain old DecoArt paints. I moved up to SpotOn, more expensive paints, pouring mediums, techniques etc. Some of the most beautiful pieces I ever made was those beginning WD-40/DecoArt masterpieces 😅🤣🤪🤪

I watch everybody that does this pouring. I’m dying to do it but I don’t know where I can do it. It’s just me and my kitten and it’s two rooms very small studio like. The cat will be in it no matter where I go. I can’t do it outside because it will get all dusty and dirty. I had to talk somebody into letting me use their house ha ha. I think this piece came out awesome! I really like it. Great job 👍job💜
@dleigh45343 жыл бұрын
Just do it!!! My first art space was only 2 foot by 3 foot!! Use lots of cheap plastic table covers and put a box over painting when finished to dry and keep cat hair out. You can totally do this and have so much creative fun!!

Wow Tammy the close up details in this painting are amazing!!!!! From your last video, you showed me the proper way to use a glass pen. Thankyou, I always wanted to get one, or two. Well got mine in the mail today with some ink, immediately wrote a beautiful thank you card to a friend, then poured some think paint on a small canvas and just doodled, Sharmin Kahn style, wasnt planning on anything just playing around, but wow it turned out surprisingly great!!! Hi Tammy, I have some highly pigmented eyeshadows that I probably won't use but instead of tossing them I think I will scrape them out of their containers and try them in the paint. They must be very close to or the same as the body powder or the mica pigments used in paints. I've been thinking about it for awhile now and, why not?! Thank you for your most excellent tutorial and I will take a look at your older vids and go back to the beginnings of pouring. Cheers! xx

Tammy how do you finish a painting that has silicone in it and you can not use resin? I have to use spray polyurethane due to the rules of my apartment complex. Do you still scrub it before you spray it? I really need an answer so I can get some Christmas gifts finished. My internet usage has quadrupled since I found your channel!!

Helpful video.I was wondering why aren’t people using house paint samples from hardware stores,wouldn’t that be a lot cheaper?
@tammyandersonart3 жыл бұрын
Well you see you can use them but you have to be careful what you mix your acrylic paints with because if that sample is a satin or gloss finish it could cause a reaction that is unpleasing to the painter. I find alot of people, myself included, just want to paint and not have to figure out if this paint is going to behave or not or if the chemistry is right. Now obviously after all these years I know what will work and what won't but alot of people are just starting out and really have no clue what the paint does when mixed with mediums or what will happen if they use a house paint. And there is the fact that this is called acrylic pouring for a reason . it's supposed to be done with all acrylic paints. House paint only became an ingredient in this style of art in the last year or 2 but before that people were using nothing but acrylic and house paint is used more for doing the Bloom technique because that recipe calls for it.
