Awesome and very honest review, I’ve been debating on whether getting the 35-150 vs 28-75 myself and this answered many of my questions. I’m more on the photography side than videography, though I’m tempted on exploring more the video aspect, however this could become my one and only when traveling and not having to carry too much gear on my back

Thank you for watching! I mean its a tremendous lens. Either option you go with, you're gonna be happy with. I just posted a video about the 35-150 how it's my go-to lens for 90% of the day. But if you plan on doing video, yeah 28-75 is good to have in your bag to not have to carry the 35-150 all day long

I own both the 28-75 G2 and the 35-150... Using the 28-75 on my FX3 (28-112mm w/ clear image zoom) for handheld travel videos or in tighter places and the 35-150 is on my A7IV for photography, but these two lenses can be used vica versa... this combo is super versatile. If I shoot events, concerts or indoor sports I can put the 35-150 on my FX3 and have a 35-225mm lens (w/ clear image zoom).

Extremely helpful video! I like to do both photo and video and I've been looking for a f/2.8 zoom lens as I want to get into doing professional events. The Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 is tempting but expensive and you made some great points about the weight and likely not needing the longer end as much for video work. The Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 s is also a bit too pricy for me at the moment. It just seems like this lens was made for somebody like me and you saved me $1,000+ dollars. Thank you!

Maybe put a piece of electrical tape over the usb port. It’s not used very often. This lens looks stellar

Worst suggestion ever with the rubber plug... do you put a rubber plug in your phone? you know, the phone that people bring into the water with them? ... it's EASY to weaterseal a plug, but a rubber plug will keep the moisture inside the port.
