Volevo chiederti se il paraluce del 70-200 Di vc usd è compatibile con il modello G2 ?
@vexphoto7 жыл бұрын
I for one appreciate this comparison very much. Especially since the Pentax 70-200 is essentially the old tamron.... so I hope Pentax will update theirs... thank you for doing the video.

Been looking into this lens intensively for the last few days. I bought the canon 750d to get into photography, i'll deffo be getting this lens in january, its a beast of a lens for a new photographer! I have the sigma 8-16 mm and the 18-55 kit lens aswell as the canon 50mm 1.8, this tamron will be the perfect addition for my wants. Good review! Subbed

Hi Taylor, Perfect review, Thanks lot for the detailed review of this 70-220. I had a wired question. Just got my new TAMRON 70-200MM f2.8 VC G2 len's. I could hear some wobble sound from the Len's when i shake it gently? like some things inside Len's isn't tightly fitted? is this expected? Any comments would be really great. Cheers

I know that this is a very old video but seeing as I am in the market for a new 70-200 I stumbled upon this video. I really want to get the new FL E version of the lens from Nikon, but i am not a full time working photographer. I work part time shooting weddings, event photography, and portraiture. The G2 tamron seems like a good option but I see many mixed reviews. Being someone that has used both, how dramatically different is the image quality between the tamron G2 and Nikon FL?
@TaylorJacksonPhoto5 жыл бұрын
FL is probably the best 70-200 in the world. It’s really remarkable. That said the G2 does as good of job in like 96% of situations and it’s really fantastic as well. Plus way less expensive
@mauricebeek88616 жыл бұрын
Hello Mister Jackson, Question: On what focus distance have you calibrated your 70-200 ? thanks beforehand.
@dmt99vn6 жыл бұрын
the G2 is consistency sharp across the image and through the range from 70mm to 200mm which is the most important

Most likely not. Not even the same settings. You can se iso 100 vs iso 50 on 7:50

Hi Taylor, would you recommend this over the Nikkor 70-200 VR II? I am buying it for £1200 and wondering if it is worth the extra £100 for the Tamron. I shoot wildlife, landscapes and Weddings.
@peteshafie96406 жыл бұрын
Hi TJ. I know I'm bit late on this review but then, my question is, how come you didn't try out this lens on actual wedding day? Im just curios. At the moment I'm planning to get new 70-200 to replace my original 70-200 nikon VR. I would love to see if you be able to include this lens on one of your up coming wedding shoot. Anyway, your work inspire me and its a good review btw brother! Cheers ;)

I have been searching for a side by side video review on both lenses. THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW. I have both lenses on my Amazon wish list. I knew the G2 was going to be better but I wanted to know how much more. I wanted to see if it would be worth to spend the extra cash on. Because of your review I will be purchasing the TAMRON 70-200 G2.

I know this is an old video but the your DI 70-200 lens is quite blurry that it makes me shake my head that something is wrong with it. It shouldn't be that blurry.

Taylor, I thought you could micro adjust 3 focal lengths with this lens and Tap-in console?

Nice to have G1 Vs G2 comparison for people who want to weigh up the performance advantages against the money saved by buying the G1. For the cost of the G2 I could have bought a G1 and a 90mm macro VC Tamron.
@susheeltm7 жыл бұрын
To me the images with the G2 were far superior to those taken with the old one. Wonder why you you were showing images side by side and saying that there wasn't much to choose between the two.

Would've preferred to see a head-to-head comparison of an actual working G1 lens. Knowing that your G1 lens had issues, which you (thankfully) fully disclosed, makes the comparison meaningless.

You can call a bird an it.... it's okay.... the PC peeps aren't gonna get you lol Good review, but it's hard to really see differences clearly since your gen 1 version isn't in focus quite properly.

martinaee I don't actually know of anyone with a good copy of it. We usually use it for video which it's good enough for. After seeing this I realize it's not going to cut it for photography any longer. Of the 5 frames, that was the best one

Hmm... interesting. I rented one for a wedding in 2013 and remember it being sharp, but who knows. Good to see that the second version looks good though too.

Tamron has been putting out some high quality lenses lately. The color of you video looks really washed out. Probably because it was not shot with a Canon camera
