I watched Regis and Kathie Lee all the time growing up - summer vacations, Christmas vacations, Easter break, days off, sick days. I looked forward to it every single day. Til this day I still look at 9am and in the back of my mind think "Regis and Katie Lee." They invented the daytime, two host thing. But nobody has ever been able to do it like them. It developed naturally between them. They're chemistry was unique and hilarious. Kathie Lee is a lovely, funny, talented woman of God. She is a pioneer in that industry. She's never caved or compromised on her beliefs. She's one in a million.

As a young Christian, she’s inspired me not to tone down my faith but to be bold about my faith and embrace it fully. I love the statement “I’ve never separated the spiritual from secular, I don’t work in the secular world but in Gods world.” This broke that religious mentality that was instilled in me. I've never seen anyone in show business, or any other business, mention God and Jesus so consistently, no matter what the subject is, unless they're an evangelist promoting their TV show. Who isn't going to applaud for Jesus? But is it really necessary to work him into every conversation? Those with true, deep faith really don't feel the need to talk about it all the time, or to get applause because of what we believe.

And during that time, I missed some of what Kathy Lee was saying because the incessant clapping overlapped her words.I've mentioned it before, I'll mention it again. PLEEEASSSEEE THS, STOP WITH THE RIDICULOUS CLAPPING EVERY TIME THE GUEST SAYS A SENTENCE. Its distracting and manipulative. You don't need it. Her birth name was Epstein; her father was Jewish, but never practicing. Kathy was never Jewish because her mother was Christian, and in Jewish law the child is what the mother is, period, regardless of what the father is. I have heard her say she was a "little Jewish girl," which is totally incorrect and she knows it. The only way she could have been Jewish is if she had converted to Judaism, and we know she never did that. She was always Christian.

The Old Testament is of the laws and it also teaches us how to have faith and obedience to God and it’s not just for the Jews because later on the New Testament tells us how we all are Jews in our hearts. Why write a book after his death, saying what a great guy and friend he was, when KG could have done it while he was alive.
