*Tamron: Clay, what was special about her?* Key word *”Her”* Clay: She just knew if *I* was talking crazy or talking too much, she could just align *me* and get *me* back on point. *I* just love our banter that we had, I love the fact that she did offer those safe spaces for *me* I just felt *I* could open up to her and I wanted to be a better person. In other words, I'm a self centred, self serving #immature #manchild who sees AD in relation to what she does for me, not as *a unique individual with her own attributes, personality, hopes, dreams and needs.* *Clay, do better, you’re way too selfish to be a good partner, let alone a husband. Grow up. Please*

Women need to understand, at some point, that women and men are two different creatures, and we marry differently. We may choose our short-term partners based on their beauty and individual attributes, but we do not decide to marry them for them. One thing I agree with you on is that it is self-indulging and a bit self-centered of a decision to make, but we make it nonetheless. We think, “How can she help carry my plans for us?” “Is she a woman I can come home to daily who creates a peaceful home for me after grinding in the world?” We look for a HELPMATE, and regardless of how selfish it may be, it is what it is. And no, it's not all men.

Clay knew before the altar that he did not want to get married. But he waited until AD walked down the aisle. He did not respect her enough to end the engagement prior to the wedding. And now he is getting all the interviews. When will AD receive an invitation to discuss her heartbreak instead of Clay discussing what he has learned and his mental health? It's all about him!

I hear you but I kinda believe him too. I think there’s a difference between knowing it’s a good “clout” opportunity and going there with that as your only intention. I say that because from the pods until the end you can see he was invested in the process. He wouldn’t have asked AD what she looked like if he just wanted clout because being unpleasantly surprised is no big deal if you’re just going to say no in two weeks anyway, you know? I think he believes most of what he says even if I think, deep down, it’s may not be true. Example, i think he believes she’s the love of his life. But I think what he’s really feeling is “man, she was amazing, I screwed up, and I don’t know if i’ll find that again.” Does that make sense 😂?

I sense that he isn’t being completely honest. When a person really loves someone, they will have a fear of not locking that person down. Clay is just using the trauma card, but TRUST ME when I say that no matter what anyone is going through, if they love or have a passion for something, they will make sure to do all they can to make whatever they love their possession. I believe he loves AD, but not deeply. I don’t want to overlook or undermine his trauma bcs that would be cold of me to do so, but if he reallyyyyy was head over heels for AD he would have said yes. It did do exactly what it was supposed to do - have him evaluate his life and his approach to relationships, and it did. This is a man who will be a better husband for who he ends up marrying. People are so quick to throw stones, until they are in the same position. This is a life-long commitment. We need to have more grace. Unless you're that little kid being taken along to witness your father betray your mother and keep it secret as a child - you can't pretend to know whonhe is. Relationships are supposed to be mirrors and no one is guaranteed to say I do or I don't. Leave this man alone. It wasn't meant to be for them right now - it's life!

He absolutely knew before the altar he was leaning to no. I don’t believe him with the “Game Time” decision he claimed. I think the show wants the contestants to wait to get to the altar to say no for RATINGS. They need drama. The Jimmy and not Megan Fox breakup pre-altar was good drama but they would have preferred them be messier and dramatic and let all the wedding attendees waste their time and great outfits so the can pan the audience for reactions

This information is not verified, but I saw somewhere that the members of the cast of Love is Blind need to get permission from the producers before they exit the show, otherwise they have to pay a fine or be sued for messing up the creativity of the show (or something along those lines). If that is true, maybe Clay told the producers that he is not ready to go to the altar, but the producers had another storyline that they wanted for the show.

I think we can give him some grace here because it’s an easy assumption to think you’re more ready for something than you are. Everyone has baggage and even IF he had an inkling he had some emotional baggage, he was living in the outside world so very easy to suppress or keep yourself busy. We even saw on the show he was constantly working and not coming home to AD so maybe busyness was his way of numbing out / coping before he joined the show. The pods were probably the first time ever he was forced to have no distractions (no phones, tv, work etc) and the realisation of what he was battling with was overwhelming to process in that short time frame and on national TV. So I extend grace because there is no perfect path to healing and no one is doing it perfectly. Everyone is just making the best decision with what they know ❤

People are missing the quick timeline in which these couples date. It is reckless to marry someone, and you are not sure. The initial emotions you feel when first dating someone are not the real deal it is a chemical response. Instead of bashing this man for not going through with it and damaging this woman way more in the marriage because he wasn't ready how about being thankful that he didn't go through with it. The truth hurts sometimes but it also sets you free, and he did just that for her and himself so that the man that is her husband can find her, and he can heal. I wish them both the best.

I would have liked to have heard from Jodi Whatley......AD really doesn't need to do anything and she owes him nothing. Clay's why is his own issue that he needs to resolve within himself. In fact, is it really a problem for him though? he may have been impacted by his father's behavior but let's unpack what it really means to love someone. He didn't protect her heart. He waited until her most vulnerable state to publicly embarrass her. He is capable of making commitments in business however he struggles with interpersonal relationships. That's a lot of work that he has to do ON HIS OWN. Just leave AD alone.
