I would like to see a full and more interactive interview. I felt that probing questions were being asked to promote getting to know a different Amber. However, there's a lot to unwrap with this individual. That takes time and the correct delivery to make her feel comfortable to share and truly open up to show us, to explain if she choose to do so. For this short segment, I would have preferred a different approach to support and promote her new journey and perception she wants to present to the world versus what the media chose to present her as.

I have always felt that they used Amber to make themselves look good...they were not a light in that way...they pull in these beautiful girls who also, more importantly, have a particular spark that they know will make the fans...take notice and spend money on their music, listen, go to concerts, movies...games...and instead of giving these women the credit due...the guys sometimes dog their name because they cannot get them to stay and deal with the toxic environments...so we need to pay homage to these women who made a business out of a situation where they were used...for their spark...and that is a gift whether people want to believe it or not...having a light that shines enough to sell products is a form of a talent. Thats why the women who learn how to use it make great brand CEOs and alot of money; as they should. And once they are no longer with the dude and are famous...they don't have the money for body guards and protection so they have to get their money up to live in a way that the fame forces them to live.

I normally enjoy Tamron, but I did not appreciate the way Tamron asked questions in this interview! It appeared as though she wanted to garner a specific type of answer. Amber is from the hood, but I think her intelligence was being undermined. She is street smart AND sis is smart smart. Survival mode is a different ball game altogether...you can't easily outwit those of us who've walked that path!

Problematic for Tamron to say her dancing was a “choice” and then to refute her when she said it was about survival. Those of us who have never known persistent hunger, homelessness, and no back up people or options to turn to will never know what we would do when faces w no options. This is why our country needs to ensure everyone has the opportunity for a basic standard of life, and there needs to be more services for homeless youth. Tamron should really learn more about this instead of imposing her ideas onto someone else’s lived experience.

I am so very disappointed in Tamron and her introduction of Amber. For her to demean Amber by consistently dory her to say “It was a choice.” You don’t know what’s a choice if you haven’t been in her shoes. She should have began on a positive note not throwing out her history in a negative way. It was like watching Oprah. Be different. Allow them to come on with their story not add your 2 cents in.
