I'm very thankful for this video...my Urologist just prescribed tamsulosin for me, and i occasionally use the Diclofenac cream on my knees. So i need to run that info to the Dr. I forgot to list it with my ongoing meds because i my use the cream once a month. Thanks again.

I couldn’t stand it. I found Saw Palmetto Plus. It works just as well as Flowmax without the side effects. Before that, I had a low dose of a beta blocker that also worked well, but my doctor said that was obsolete.

How long do you have to stop taking the medication before having a PSA test, if it suppresses the true value reading of PSA?

I was told there is no impact to PSA number. What no one told me for years was that your number will go up within 24-36 hours after ejaculation!

Doc upped me to 2 caps a day with no directions on how to take. Tried 2 in the morning with no change in symptoms. Then tried one morning and one evening for very slightly better first pee in the morning but not much. Bad side effect: no more erections so will probably go back to 1/day.

Thanks, very well put together and easy to follow/understand. Interested to find Priapism as a side effect; I experienced exactly the opposite effect and had to stop taking it after the first month’s course. Filled in a survey for the drug manufacturers, and it IS a known side effect- though apparently in a very low number of cases…..?
