Tamsulosin, mid sized pupil becoming a small pupil. Fun fun fun.

Small pupils are technically challenging. Sometimes, at the beginning of a case, it is hard to tell how the pupil will change in size during the operation.
Tamsulosin is a prostate medication that causes intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS). The iris becomes flaccid, billows, and the pupil comes down. This is higher risk for complications.
