tana is a grown-ass adult, like it's crazy to me that she expected that a reality tv show would try to film her in a way that shows her in a good light and not shape each episode for maximum drama (especially throwing tantrums at the doctor, being inconsiderate of trevor). like??? i think part of this falls on her but also her team's job should've been to prepare her for what to say n how to act to minimize tarnishing her own image. she's childish as fuck and needs some kind of authority figure to not just be a yes man but steer her towards making smarter decisions. in the long run, all of this (from the shady sponsorships to shock value videos to whatever mental illness problems she has) is not sustainable and, no matter how profitable it might be now, it's going to impact any future moves she tries to make outside of youtube. i don't think she has enough sense of personal responsibility to help herself, I think she needs someone to push her in the right direction

she's absolutely not my "problematic fave" and it's completely reasonable to not put up with her bullshit when there are so many other deserving and talented people out there who are responsible, kind, and mature. not hiding the fact that she is immature and irresponsible is not "admirable" in any way whatsoever.... she gets away with being an entitled brat constantly, and when a show finally captures her true self, she comes out and says that the statements she said were out of context or just blames how she reacted on other people even though she actually said those things and did the awful things that she did. she needs to take responsibility. as for her mental health correlating to her career, i just can't see how she's "given (her career) her all" when she won't get out of bed when she actually HAS work to do (it's not like MTV used a CGI tana that one time! their budget clearly isn't that high!) and she constantly hates on her manager for trying to help her stay on track with her career. she even prioritized her friend's NOSE JOB over her own perfume launch, which is part of her career! lastly, although PTSD from childhood is obviously a terrible thing, she has to stop blaming that for every single awful thing she does or says. she clearly has the money and resources to access treatment, so why not do that instead of smoking weed to self medicate for hours every day and ruining your physical health as well? so many people deal with that stuff and don't let it hold them back from improving themselves. i understand it can be hard, but not taking any action to get treatment when she clearly has plenty of money and privilege to access it really feels like a fuck-you to those who are less fortunate than her who deal with the same issues but have to go out every day and work a regular job like customer service (retail, food industry) where you get shit on every day for minimum wage. she needs to grow up and deal with her problems like the adult she is.

14:32 Trauma and PTSD are not the same thing! While trauma itself can vary in severity and long-term effects, PTSD is 1) limited to a specific set of (severe) traumatic experiences and 2) has very distinct and clear-cut characteristics (= symptoms). While it is normal to experience at least _some_ form of psychological trauma and react accordingly over a lifetime (following the psychoanalytical definition, at least), PTSD is a whole different and very limiting condition. That being said, none of the situations as described by Tana technically _fit_ the definition of psychological trauma in clinical terms, but then again, she isn't obligated to share her personal experiences with the audience. What she described and showed with the blood pressure thingy was definitely more of a phobic reaction though, in case anyone cares about the intricacies, also good news: Phobias can be treated quite effectively

You absolutely can develop a physical reliance on marijuana. And for people to call me and others liars to push their own narrative that "weed isn't bad" is very hurtful. There isn't enough research done on marijuana and people who want to believe that "weed isn't addictive" or "weed isn't bad" might need to take a look at why they will go so hard defending that narrative.

They operated on me while I had cramps which is illegal as my heart could stop, I was allergic to the narcosis and it took them 6 hours to listen to my mom saying I had a high fever, couldn’t drink and my voice was gone. It took them 6 hours to realize I was basically dying in their ward. Not even 800 meters from where I was. I got into detoxing, my kidneys was failing etc. I was dying, the hospital sued the child hospital department and there was a whole ass conference due to me in the hospital with my mom, lawyers, doctors and the leader of the hospital. Angelika I am so sorry but Tana is not "everyone's" problematic fave. She's only the favorite of people who she's manipulated, and you're obviously one of them. You've criticized people into irredeemability for far less than this, for example Jeffree Star. (Edit: this does not mean I'm excusing Jeffree Star in any way. I don't like him at all. I am simply using him as an example of someone "problematic" who you are very much not "on the fence" about.) Yes, Tana may have mental health issues. HOWEVER, mental health is a reason, not an excuse. Especially not when you have as much money as she does and are fully able to get the medical mental health and addiction care and counseling that so many people in America cannot. You're not American, so I'm not expecting you to know this, but even one therapy appointment can be upwards of $100. That is absolutely unattainable for so many people, but Tana is able to afford clubbing and alcohol and a lavish lifestyle and simply chooses not to get the help she so obviously needs. Think of it this way. Tana is saying, "[insert mental health reason] is why I did this thing, and maybe it's a little fucked up, but mental health!" When a true apology that lines up with how the world actually works is, "I'm sorry for what I did. It was wrong of me. [insert mental health reason] is WHY I did this, but it does not remove responsibility, and therefore I will work to be better and get help to improve myself." and then you actually get that help instead of doing the same exact things over and over. Tana is a cockroach because you and people like you keep allowing her to be that way by giving her a pass.

Tana acts this way because she knows she can just fall back on her “childhood drama” and easily be forgiven, but would any normal person be excused or have their beyond immature attitude put up with at work? It’s frustrating for other people who have mental issues and have had it effect their lives and relationships, but are mature enough to take the blame themselves instead of defending their poor actions on their bad past or issues they struggle with internally. My personal struggles are mine, and I have now realized that NO ONE has to put up with my poor behavior and be expected to forgive me because of my past. That’s not an excuse to be rude, insensitive, selfish, or just plain inconsiderate of those around me. She has a superiority complex is what this all is. She is better than everyone and they should be expected to be in such awe of her that they allow her to be how ever she wants and when she’s called out on it she puts on a sad face as if it’s an excuse to mistreat people around her. I’ve been working with a psychiatrist for months to try and treat my oversleeping and it impacts no one in my life besides myself. She is literally late to everything and sleeping in consistently with no remorse and no means to fix it like she fixed her nose.

Smoking weed isn’t good for your lungs even if you don’t mix it with tobacco. She could ingest it in some other way, esp since she has such a severe asthma.

Also, she was never even tested for TB she refused so she still doesn’t know if she has it or not

As someone who has had months long periods of smoking weed more than 6 times a day, u can be addicted psychologically, especially when you use to cope, it calms down ur brain and slows ur thoughts so it's good for anxiety, but in the long run it hurts your mental capacity when u start getting panic attacks bc ur sober, stop being able to do anything, leave the house, go to uni bc u don't have the mental capacity, have to throw away food bc u fall asleep with it out of the fridge bc ur too tired to get up again, spending £500+ a month on it, becoming forgetful etc., but also there have been plenty of times on this show that tana is clearly wired on coke, and that's massively addictive and anxiety inducing, so weed can help with the come down and to calm down, it's clearly a dangerous cycle and you were right to mention it, it's absurd the amount of people in the weed scene that are adment it's not harmful, it is

Angelika has really been glowing in these recent videos, sis looks gorgeous no cap. So excited for her new channel because I love pretty much all of her makeup looks.

Up until recently Tana had been my problematic fav but she contradicts herself all the time. She’s scared of going to the doctors and throws a tantrum there, but can get lip injections and other medical procedures? It doesn’t add up. She’s known for saying controversial things so can MTV really be taking everything out of context and making her look like a bad person? I don’t know anymore.

I forgot what tea channel it was but they pointed out how tana blames her childhood for her actions at the doctors but there was a previous clip from when she went to the worst rated clinic(?) and she was having a blast. I Stan tana but that kinda threw me off

I’m a smoker but I would never say that it’s not bad for your lungs or that you can’t become reliant on it. Like y’all should stop smoking if you’re not educated in the risks

i’m really glad you brought up the thing about the difference between hate and criticism!! such a good point because you’re right. not many people acknowledge criticism and dismiss it as “hate”

hi! i just wanted to comment on something you mentioned in the video. despite what others may have said, you CAN have a substance use disorder (SUD) for marijuana. the DSM-5 does not specify that withdrawal symptoms must be present for either dependence or abuse when diagnosing an SUD. while it is a symptom in the module, it is not the only symptom and it does not need to be present for the diagnosis to be made. i just wanted to clarify that so that people don't get the wrong assumptions about SUD. there can still be other symptoms present such as (1) unsuccessful attempts to quit, (2) a persistent desire to use the substance, (3) using the substance despite knowledge that it maintains or exacerbates a physical/mental health problem, (4) ignoring commitments with school/work/family as a result of the substance use, etc. i work in research in a psychiatric department and we often administer the SCID (a DSM-5 based interview) to assess clinical health of our participants. we have had incidences of individuals having an SUD for marijuana. hopefully this can clear up that misinformation - i'm not saying tana has an SUD (i don't know anything about her), but just because the substance is marijuana, doesn't mean it CAN'T be an SUD. Hope this helps!

To be clear, she does not NOT have tuberculosis, she refused to be tested for it and lied about coughing blood (which is a symptom) even though she says she does

I have a hard time feeling bad for Tana anymore. Everytime she's called out about something she goes above and beyond to make it seem like its everyone else around her making her look bad. It's never her. There's never any accountability. She doesn't treat people very well. Many people struggle with mental health. Myself being one of them. Many people have had poor upbringings and family problems. That's not an excuse to just do and say whatever you want. I don't think she's a malicious or bad person. But I do think she will continue to struggle until she starts to realize that she is responsible for her own life. Period.

As someone who smokes weed, SMOKING is not good for you. Weed itself is fine and dandy but the smoke that comes from your bong, bowl, blunt, joint is not good. The best way to do it is edibles, or just not doing it in general (if you're not into). But smoking anything (or breathing in any type of smoke [i.e. Smoke from campfires, etc]) is not good for your lungs. Edit: also I've quickly noticed that every time she does something people don't agree with, she blames it on her childhood trauma. Like I'm sorry you went through whatever you went through, Tana, but you need to own up to your mistake. YOU are the reason why you're always getting into trouble/getting "hate". Lots of people (unfortunately) suffer through shit as children. People get mental illnesses from it (i.e. DID, depression, etc) but they still own up to the mistakes they make. They don't create a giant ass convention out of revenge and then blame it on someone else when it fails. They don't scream and freak out like a toddler at the doctors/wherever Jordan took her (ice skating?). Grow up, Tana. I hope you get help with whatever you're dealing with but damn. Grow the fuck up.

If she keeps blaming her behaviour on her parents, it won't be long before we hear their side.
@charlieboy10874 жыл бұрын
Some of her video I understood but also, she needs to stop blaming other people for her behavior because she’s acted like this without the help of mtv editing too. Just take accountability, it isn’t that hard

But wasn't she coughing blood? Did someone do a chest xray to exclude TB, POCD or cancer before diagnosing asthma? Shouldn't asthma be diagnosed with methacholine test? Don't know what medicine in the US works like but in my med school they teach that coughing blood is an alarm sign that should be checked through images or do a bacilloscopy for TB.

Despite incorrect widespread knowledge, you can get physically and mentally addicted to weed and it is quite common (4 mil cases in the U.S. in a year). You can exhibit "irritability, trouble sleeping, cravings, restlessness, and loss of appetite". It's, of course, less serious than hard drugs, but still an issue. I've seen it firsthand and I'm tired of people treating weed addiction like it's not real.
