They celeberate on August 7th in Sendai though (differences in calendars). It's a whole festival from the 5th at night to the 8th! Going this year!

i=m currently going trough an online course in Japanese Tanabata is the last subject before the exam and while i had an idea what it was about when i listened to it on a CD i wasn't sure i understood it but the video sure helped me understand much better

I don't know about the Japanese version, but in Chinese original version at the end, the bridge is constituted with kasasagi. Which means they stand on lots of lots of kasasagi to meet with each other.

This holiday was brought to Japan by the Chinese because this is based of a Chinese festival called the Qixi festival but in Japan it’s the tanabata star festival the story is almost the same and time is almost the same with Qixi it’s both when the Atlar and Vega meet [Gosh Dang!!!!] ⭐️
