What's the concept behind... energy order of ...these possible terms?
@Organicarivu Жыл бұрын
Dear Madam, lovely lecture. I enjoyed it. But one correction is that at 17.40 min the gap between 3F to 3P is only 15B. Kindly have a look at it. Thank you

Nice explanations But I have a doubt at 12.38 on which basis u will put the different terms on vertical line Means why after ground state term 1d is nxt term

Maam, how does 1D comes below 3P in the TS diagram as we know 3P has higher multiplicity than 1D?
@ajeetsingh34423 жыл бұрын
Raccah parameter, there is electronic repulsions which are not considered in hunds rule, using raccah parameters we get the correct order in which 1D is of lower energy

Ma'am how do we know that the x axis value is 28?
@Chemistryunplugged3 жыл бұрын
@Suveksha Tamang.. Please watch the video again.. 28 value comes from ratio of e2 and e1

among [Co(h2o)6]2+ and [v(h2o)6]3+ how would i know which one is in strong field or weak field ligand environment??
@Chemistryunplugged4 жыл бұрын
Strong and weak field environment depends on ligands which are classified in spectrochemical series according to their sigma donor and pi acceptor tendencies.. Nh3 and h2o are in middle of the series so sometimes they are weak or strong field and it depends on central metal ion. In Co2+, we have d7 e- and it will form high spin complex with h20 while in v3+ we have d2 e-and it will also form high spin complex but cfse will be high for v3+ bcz it has less number of e-. Most exceptional case is of co3+ which form low spin complex with nh3 and water.
