I have studied and practiced Buddhism for many years but with no real change in my inner attitude until I gave up and returned to the body. Since I have re-discovered the innate wisdom of the body through the Tantra Yoga of dance as well as Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, things are moving again, and expanding as well. This teacher (whom I only know from his books and videos) has helped in this regard. 🙏

Huge gratitude to you Daniel! 🙏🙏🙏 This practice is a remarkable gift and I view this video often and dance with you! ADDENDUM: I wanted to update this post and just share that I have found the Tandava technique can be deepened and experientially enriched by alternating Tandava practice with a relaxation technique called Earth Descent offered in the book The Awakening Body by Reggie Ray (I have absolutely no affiliation with the author). Doing Earth Descent has offered me an expanded sense of my body, enabling me to feel more stable and grounded in the earth. This has led to a deepening of my Tandava sessions as my legs and hips feel rooted in the earth, supporting my nervous system, which enables me to release any stored feelings while enriching the Tandava dance immensely. Blessings to all dancers!!

"give me one excuse not to make love to the space around you for 24 hours a day" Why isn't this beautiful wisdom taught at first grade. If this was practiced with the same determination a we learn math, it would be life changing.

I enjoy the tandava practice - it is beautifully expansive and blissful. But I am confused by Mr Odier's claims concerning the age of tandava, the absence of bandha or pranayama in what he calls kashmiri yoga generically, or the reference to abhinavagupta... having read several translations of abhinavagupta's tantras, I find no references that support any of the historical claims he makes. Nor do I find any reference to tandava in the vijnanabhairava tantra. This draws much of his teachings into question for me... it would be more honest in my view if he just acknowledged that he invented or synthesised much of this rather than claiming the authority of ancient tantrik tradition.

We do not belong to the Hindu caste system being outcastes we are only portrayed to be a variant of lord Shiva a high ranking south Indian deity more often than bought we are trying to allign ourselves with the Crucified Christ with whom we share a common heritage?
