3 plus years and it went down once . they gave me an update and it worked . My other boxes needed updating every few weeks .

Some other boxes may get monthly or so update in the movie app or live tv channels app. Which means that they get bug fixes. Tanggula boxes are slow and buggy

Everyone has their opinion, but I have the X5, X5 pro, the Elite2 and the projector. I have had the X5 for over 3-1/2 years and it still works great. I've sold probably over 100 of these boxes and have never had one disabled yet. They do have the ability however to disable, but I've only heard of it when someone was selling them well below the intended price. Are the boxes perfect, no. But they also aren't as bad as I think you have presented them in this video. I think that its worth it, even with the price, because most people who have bought these from me, were paying close to $300 a month using other means.

Agreed i dont sell them but i have two x5 boxes and 2 elite max 2 boxes none disabled in 2 1/2 years still going strong. All these type of boxes have their issues. I hope people don't buy them to keep the server traffic down haha.

So here's a question for you. Did they disabled your box after you did this review? Since you did not do the type of review that was favorable for them, did they disable your box AFTER you posted this video or BEFORE?

Before. When it worked, although some of the channels selection were pretty good, the box was buggy. It lagged a lot and sometimes had buffering issues. So for that price, I don’t think it’s worth. It’s not well optimized.

@@idiscovertech Good to know. I don't use this type of box because the price doesn't make sense compared to the boxes that you can use with a subscription. Plus, regular boxes can run anyone's IPTV service so you are not cornholed into one service like this box has.

I got mine yesterday & returned it today. OS is Android 11, will not allow an update, and will not run half of the apps my family is interested in - particularly HULU. Also, I was unable to find any videos on how to use it and it is the most inconsistent and confusing mess that I have encountered in a long time. Pay attention to the Tetris-style packing job so that you can repack it properly to send it back.

Thanks for the info. I would never buy this if they can just remotely disable it. I hate when companies do this kind of thing. You never know what reason they might come up with to deny service, or if someone would fat finger things and mess you up. Somehow I imagine that their customer service is garbage and it would take forever to get things sorted. The FAQ alone seems to indicate that English isn't exactly native to them.

For the money they’re charging for this box not having all the third-party apps that stopped working. For $15 a month I can get an IPTV that has everything this box has and if the service gets shut down,there’s plenty of other IPTV‘s out there and I’m not losing $350.

I love their boxes, a like any other, you may have to dig a little to find a channel (check all their call signs). I have used their customer service 4 time in two years, I had answers very promptly. If the box was sent to you for testing, were you given a time limit to use the box. Maybe call sales or support and see why, just sayin...

In any case, we now know that their company have the ability to remotely disable your device anytime. So theoretically, you paid for a product that you don’t have full control. $359 is a pretty hefty price for most average consumers. The thing is we’re paying mainly for their service. The value for just the box would cost in between 40-60$. One that has the same specs. Depending how much you’re currently paying per month for your cable TV, you may save up after 1-2 years

Paper weight that's all it's good for if you want to spend an hour to clean system reset it a dozen times and clear cache in between the resets you can't watch anything... I don't have any problems with all my other boxes digi veesee ect do not support this box

I dont buy pre loaded boxes. Im not gonna pay $400 when i can do the same thing with a $35 box. And my service has two connections. So i can watch in the livingroom and my wife can watch what she wants in the bedroom.

Good for you if it works. Mine was buggy when it worked. Then was remotely blocked. Took some time to load the channels and sometimes would buffer when watching the live channel. Sometimes apps would freeze. Seems like their server isn’t really well optimized. Their new X5 Pro 2 still runs on Android 11 instead of Android 12 or newer and have no different to the first Gen of X5 Pro in terms of specifications

@idiscovertech gotcha. And yes there's buffering sometimes. It's annoying and I don't mess with it, just reset box. Again I remind myself what I WAS paying to Frontier. I currently have an X5, X5 pro and an X5 pro 2 in my home. (Firestick and Roku also on every TV) that's my "cord cutting" solution and Ive been more than satisfied for a few years now.

I agree. The box also bugs sometimes. Worst part is not that that it bugs, but is that they have the ability to remotely disable your box (even after you paid for it)

The box is not defective. It's the company who disabled the device remotely.

We were paying about $130 per month for a few channels so don't see $359 ($502 Canadian) as a lot of money. ( We paid $3000 for a 10 ft sattellite dish in 1981 so we could watch waaaay less channels ) If we can use this box for a year and have to go back to paying we'll have a year of enjoyment and have saved a bunch of money. We just got ours and paid only $375 Canadian and it comes with Kodi added too.
