Came here after visiting a ground that Grace played at in Sheffield park. It was said he hit a 130 yard six and it bounced off an oak tree which was then named after him. There’s an iron girdle around the tree which marks the one he hit. Found it very interesting.

Nice! I personally would've put Grace a lot lower and had Viv above Tendulkar. Also, Hammond, Hobbs, and Hutton would feature a lot higher too..

ESPN's ranking is beyond absurd. Utter garbage with the panel consisting primarily of great players who have no expertise in statistics or cricket history. Grace being ranked #14 despite dominating unlike anyone not named Bradman. Sydney Barnes ranked at #26!!??? Ranking is a job for scholars and statisticians, not athletes. The cricket world desperately needs a Bill James.
