Lol Tanger looked Hella different back then, no nice cars, old buildings, no gold-diggers, no men driving around in Lamborghinis hoping to get married, a lot of headscarves (don't see that a lot anymore), 2020 it's a different place but still love it tho.

@SueHutton8 жыл бұрын
no direct ferry from Gibraltar unless something runs in the summer season. The big ferries cross from Algeciras to Port Tanger-Med 30 km east of the city. You have to travel to Tarifa to catch the hover ferry into Tanger City port. It takes about 45 minutes to do the crossing and this ferry is cancelled when there are high winds.

I visited Tangier last summer and got tired of people asking where we're from + trying to do us something to get money. Eventually we refused to say anything at all, but that obviously annoyed few of them. I'd say Tangier is not exactly dangerous place, but I'd suggest being aware of your surroundings.
@rupert-j8f8 жыл бұрын
i found the same juhar, beautiful country, great scenery but you couldent sit down for a second without someone bugging you for money or trying to sell you drugs or tat or trying to take you on some sort of tour that will end up at their cousins magic carpet shop.

I see this was made in 2010. Many big changes in Tangier road systems since then and there is a project to 'join up' Tangier and Malabata bays. The view will be amazing as cruise liners come into port. If anyone is up, that is. They tend to come in before dawn. The medina is just the same. Oh, and the clubs and bars along the corniche have all been demolished for a vision of a 'clean' Tangier which is family friendly. That area will also look on to a marina. The fishing port is being shunted sideways. They're supposed to be trying to keep the walls of the Kasbah but they look very precarious.

I honestly have to say I was somehwat disappointed by Tangier. It is a lovely place, and I loved the food etc. But from the moment we got off the ferry, we were almost constantly stalked and harrassed by locals! It was almost impossible to walk 100 meters without being begged for money. I was glad we onl stayed for one night. I dont think I will be back.

I went to Tangier around 2004...and I didn't feel like it was "dangerous" at all. It definitely looks like it has changed though by looking at your video. More modern looking. We were the only American tourists there at the time, in the middle of the summer in July but now I see everyone is going now. It was like that in Spain too, like not that many tourists, and now I hear there's people everywhere.. And long lines into the attractions wow. I'm going back for the second time, next spring. By the way... Is there soap, water, and tissue in the bathrooms? Do the bathrooms even work, of you're able to find one? That's how it awash when we went around 2003-2004. Yess!!! I remember the fish market there!!
