when doing the full vinyl/contact paper, peel halfway then cut the lifted part off, then take the part that is cut, cut it in half and add it back to the edge of the vinyl, that way the only exposed part is the middle. Line that up and press if its even the way you want. Then peel off one side at a time and smooth out. Hope that makes sense. I think faster than I type.

Ive watched this a million times lol i love how thorough you are because i need it! I tried cutting last night and i cant cut steady to save my life. i tried flipping it on front and that didn’t work. & could barely see/cut while its on the back to trace :( then when laying the paper down I always get bubbles and creases/lines. I will keep trying! I know I can get it to look as good as yours! ❤️
@TanishiaWynette4 жыл бұрын
You will get it Ms Shelly. Start with the a dollar tree shelf paper. And peel it off and “start over” if you need to. Smooth from the center outward...helps with bubbles. Sometimes I rip off contact paper 2 or 3 times before its pretty! Yayyy for $1 Dollar Tree. Use a fat marker to trace ( you’ll get a nice wide line) and cut right on the line. Try those tips! Hope it helps! Kerp crafting!🤗

This is an awesome idea. I wish I could find larger serving trays of which I lucked up on at our local dollar tree. Unfortunately I only found 2 of them and made similar trays using spray paint, cricut, printer, design tape and a cutting mat to protect the tray design (epoxy can replace the clear cutting mat.). Can’t wait to try your method. Thanks for the very thorough tutorial!!
