For me, not just the scene. It's the music. A mix of emotions. Sadness because he thinks he lost Nezuko, followed by burning anger and vengeance upon Hantengu. The first time I watched this scene, that is exactly what I felt. His face at 08:00 says it all. If I were a fellow demon slayer and saw Tanjiro, usually a kind-hearted person, this angry, I would be getting goosebumps. If I were a demon and see that face and a sword that burns like the sun descending upon my neck, well I just consider myself dead.

Same bro Tanjiro couldn’t make the decision on whether he should leave Nezuko to save the 3 swordsmith but Nezuko made it easier for him by kicking him off of her with a smile. 😭 Yet the moment he landed that final strike was all the anger and rage to the cowardly demon on the thought that he had to sacrifice his sister, who he sworn to himself that he would turn her back into human.

In a most casual analysis: The animation is fluent and roughly made well, not only the details of the muscle of the face embracing anger when flickering but the position of the body that really emanates a strong and agile warrior like posture. (I'm no professional but I really want to appreciate in a context the animation) Apart from that the effects of the animation such as the contrast of the colours and how the different characters overlap eachother with the background. The Gaussian blur also gives it a much more immersive feeling in the close-up of Tanjiro's face in the shot. Rather when also the SFX are sharp and good quality, and not to mention the amazing music. It is definitely an Anime Animation Scene 9/10

Not a sense of how you can feel bad for him; after you look through how callous they are when they were alive, you give them no sympathy as the demon is beheaded and they flash their life Enmu was a sadistic prick who literally deceives people with dreams that would obviously not happen, and then he'll just trick and kill you. Hantengu is just as worse as Enmu, where he faked being blind, treats the people who helped him like shit, plays victim, and then killed an actual blind man for punishing him.

The higher the rank a demon is, the more evil and irredeemable they were back when they were human. The upper rank 5 didn’t even have a flash back and the demon Tanjiro Annihilated, well, the guy was narcissistic to the extreme that he deluded himself to be blameless.

Akaza wasn't really evil as a human though and he was higher ranked then Hantengu. Akaza was a criminal when he was alive but only to take care of his sick dad who committed suicide so he wouldn't have to get into anymore trouble after that, he met his martial arts teacher and his daughter who both help him do a complete 180 turning his life around with the dojo being passed on to him with him and his master's daughter genuinely being in love and set to get married. At that point, Akaza was truly happy and living peacefully a changed man until his fiance and master were murdered by a rival dojo out of petty jealousy and he savagely killed the whole dojo in a fit of rage in retaliation and was forcibly turned into a demon by Muzan afterwards. After that he sort of forgot his human life minus his martial artist code and refusal to eat women out of subconscious love for his fiance. He even suicided himself in the end since he got his memory back and legitimately felt sorry for everything he did as an Upper Moon and not helping his new family. Akaza was UM3 but still capable of feeling bad and somewhat redeeming himself since while murder isn't justified, you could understand his motives which is better then Kokushibo who only became UM1 because of an inferiority complex towards his brother and didn't feel a shred of remorse or question himself until the end or Douma who didn't care about anything

Tanjiro using Hinokami Kagura without even intending to, his heart full of sorrow and rage; sorrow borne from having to sacrifice (in a sense) Nezuko so that he could stop Hantengu, and rage borne from Hantengu constantly running after all the atrocities he had committed as Upper Moon 4. This scene shows Tanjiro's conviction to kill Muzan too well.

I never liked the English dub of this show because they are merely average at best, so they are terrible compared to the original voices. No dub can replace the voice acting of the original cast. The English dub also doesn’t fit the characters, unlike some other animes (Lupin for example).

Sorry for being disrespectful. They aren’t amateur at all, just that their voices don’t match well. There’s also, I think, differences between the way sound is recorded in the original and how it’s done in the dub, so that makes it harder for them I imagine.
