This is a indirect NERF to support ults. If you need healing less from supports, then they get less ult charge after fights. This reduces the snowball of winning a fight then using ults to win then next fight.

​@@montymol3_467There could be other buffs that offset this, but unless they change ult costs, the original comment is correct. The point they're making is that, after fight wins, Supports get ult charge from healing their team to full. Since there's nobody to damage after a fight win, if your team doesn't need healing between fights Supports will lose out on ult charge. Because the passive will take some time to activate, it probably won't have a significant impact during fights, so it won't really enable Supports to be doing more damage than healing: they'll still need to focus on healing during team fights because the passive won't come into effect. Not to mention, that would only benefit Supports who can't simultaneously heal and damage, so Lucio, Zenyatta and Brigitte wouldn't receive any benefit even if it did enable Supports to focus more on damage.

ngl I don't know why they're looking at a teambased game and going 'let's make it more individual.' that's why deathmatch exists. the only good thing about quicker play is that the KotH maps (capture point, push, and flashpoint) are shorter so I get to suffer for less time.

If you don't like Control, I get that, but as someone who loves Control (I play a lot of Doomfist and Lucio, they're just good for my heroes), it sucks. Having a round where you're struggling to contest point and then realising that you have 2 seconds to touch before you lose because, for some reason, they can get 100% before the third team fight has even started is so miserable. I can't agree more that the Quick Play: Hacked and universal healing passive changes seem like the dev team is trying to make the game more like Deathmatch, and I really hope they change direction before these changes are fully implemented.

I think this will change the play style significantly, increasing the effectiveness of staggering and reducing the fear of getting picks and making it out safely. Tanks healing is probably going to be busted, but I'm tentatively excited

Paladins hás Thais since the start of the game, and it works there, team work is still needed there, the passive healing Just helps people to survive a little bit longer and that's It, but, in Paladins packs don't exist, that's why It work's, it's the only for of healing (along with the decks that you can make) that don't need the suport. Not gonna lie, the game is a lot more fun then overwatch in a individual Sense, but If you want tô Win, you need to play with your team, maybe It can work in overwatch, probably won't, Paladins was made around the self heal, overwatch wasn't.
