That's not jelly, it's jam! 'Cuz in the original recording of this song, you hear "3-2-1, let's jam!"

Thanks, Jeff. That music could easily be a 1970's TV show theme. Love it! The alto sax player is Masato Honda. He is best known as a member of the killer Japanese fusion band T-Square from 1990 until he left the band in 1998.

We musicians are without a doubt a unique, eccentric and sometimes bizarre bunch of people and we love it!

3,2,1… let’s JAM… (the last part of the only vocal in the original/anime version). A bagel/donut was never mentioned. Link to the anime opening - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e32QdWyCp6t9mpYsi=XkqCl2kDzWGrpwLv

If you think the sax solo in this version was awesome, you REALLY need to check out the studio version for the soundtrack...that solo leaves this one in the dust.

@@user-jg555kjl Not sure where the Hostile attitudes coming from. I'm well aware and my originated in Japan I'm also well aware that it is an outgrowth of America's occupation of Japan after World War II and the importation of American Disney animation and others like Betty Boop and such. That's one of the reasons in a lot of animes the characters have exaggerated eyes and facial features. I'm just not an obsessive fan that looks up the artist for every anime opening and closing song. I just thought the band doing (Tank) was laying down some Hot Licks. It was a happy memory of when I first started watching Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim decades ago. Heavier if you are this fired up I have some recommendations if you're interested, don't know if you've seen them yet. Original (Trigun) ( Silent Mobius) (Bubblegum Crisis) (Better Man) Also (Armitage) and (Battle Angel Alita) the original anime. That last one I prefer the manga but the anime is a good introductory piece. Anything Gundam is good especially out of the universal century. I'm a traditionalist by also love wing and mobile fighter G Gundam. Still haven't found a good dub for zz Gundam. I also have some complicated feelings about (Which from Mercury) but that's neither here nor there. Anyways anime is about diversity of thought and ideas and doing things with animation that live action just can't touch. Be kind done dump on people. For all you knew I could have been Noob who was just getting interested and could have been put off by that comment. I believe in growing fanbase not diminishing it. If you actually read this entire long-ass rant thank you. Anime is to be enjoyed and experienced and everybody does it differently. That's my opinion, that a buck 50 will get you coffee.
