There are quite few hiking areas that I especially love to go to in southern Ohio near The Old Man's Cave area! I have always enjoyed the isolation in the deepest part of the trails! Eerily quiet except for wildlife and wind but teasingly surreal in how the atmosphere drapes itself over you as you walk and explore, touch and smell and pretty much let your Soul Inhale the aroma of literally untouched land. LOVED seeing those two itty bitty tress with the Yellow Witch Hazel in the middle of the path @ 9:20! that "Whole New World" @ 11:11 was beyond words! Glad you and your crew could experience this together! MOO From COW-lumbus, Ohio 👋

I wasn't expecting that scene at the end of the tunnel. Stunning and a bit worrying when realising how high up you were. I saw my first ever erythristic badger a couple of nights ago. It walked alongside the works van just a yard from my door and then just stared at me. I didn't know there were brown coloured badgers in existence until I looked it up (it's a very rare genetic mutation). Autumn and Spring are my favourite seasons. Those shots of yours into the woods were just beautiful. Thanks for sharing these wholesome videos - they cheer me up.

@@PACreekWalker I'm in central England and a hundred yards from a large park with a lake and wooded areas. We see lots of black and white badgers - even seen them roaming in pairs - but I didn't know that brown ones existed. The one I saw had a bushy coat and orange eyes. There are also Albino badgers but I've not seen one of those yet.

Ohhh, neat trail. Loved towards the overlook how the trail closed like a tunnel. How cool it would be to have a Reading Blue Mountain and Northern steam train (the 2102) come through the gorge while you were up there! That’d be really lucky though. One quick thought, might be a good idea to wear a blaze orange hat or vest on state ground during hunting season? Good video, thanks for the look into that area.

I'm a sucker for Red Bulls even after having kidney stones. No judgement, here. I hiked the AT, in 2021. PA or shall I say, Rockselvania, was a beautiful section. You should see Max Patch, NC in the fall. I escaped to FL to get away from the cold. I'm finding fossil coral geodes in Tampa. You should try and get down there to find some of the agates, drusy, and bot crystals. By far one of my favorite rocks so far.

That lichen is called the British Soldier Lichen, because the British wore redcoats and they have those red parts. Also I think lichen is generally pronounced "like-en" I have not heard it pronounced "lick-en" but I guess it could be a regional pronunciation I have not heard.

@@PACreekWalker You could get fined if you are found collecting them. That includes fossils, sand, etc. I think the statute is 165-2 (6) you can find the information on the PGC website re: what is permitted on SGL's. Nuts, berries, mushrooms are permitted, as well as game and fish, taken per their perspective seasons. One more thing, that area has venomous snakes, rattlesnakes and copperheads, which you should be aware of.
