The most important part of GF sim? Never play alone. If you do, you _will_ be flanked by a Hellcat or sniped by a Jagdpanzer and you will never see it coming (no matter how far back you stay). If you play with a friend not only do you have an extra pair of eyes to watch your back, but if they die it gives you time to react to the new threat. It can be exceptionally frustrating playing alone because there is no front line in sim. Due to the markers being nonexistent tanks can simply breeze by enemies without being spotted, resulting a a battlefield where everyone is scattered around randomly forcing you to watch all sides constantly. This makes it difficult to focus on any one angle and try to kill anything.

It was disabled because of the dropping player numbers (to force everyone in one SB queue) ... and with the player numbers still dropping (or at least not increasing) it isn't going back. But hey, everything is great with the game according to Gaijin, disabling game modes is certainly a good sign for the game, right? :)

Tony Bromirski I'll use right now as an example. ALL the tanks in the "Simulator tank event" are high tier 4 or tier 5. I have none of them. I can't play one of the game modes because I haven't grinded enough or thrown enough money at Gaijin. :(

What Gaijin forgot to tell you is for Simulator battles you have to do events which require specific tanks and if you dont have those tanks or dont want to play them you cant play Sim! Gj Gaijin!

I have a amazing idea for simulator mode... So when ever your in commander view... There's a tank commander popping out of the hatch... And enemy tanks can shoot your commander, so in order to not have that happens, you use commander view when not in a in a middle of a fight, in a battle... Just imagine infantry size people popping out of hatches... Russians... Germans..... Americans... British....

+Captain RyanX That's...a bad idea to say the least. the cupola view is there to stand in for actually looking through the cupola (not actually sitting outside the tank). Also getting machine gun sprayed (which requires very little skill in aiming) and killed in one shot wouldn't be very fun.

been diong a few of these today in a panzer 2 h. great fun! the little thing is fast enough to rush some caps and get to a hidey hole to defend with, and powerful enough to punch a hole in most medium tanks!

Don't forget to utilize the cruise control option when in urban areas, if you need to clear an area, don't just charge in. Slow down and check all of the corners.

1. Tank set is chancged all the time, why? Why cannot play a specific tank all the time? 2. So many nations and diferend tanks, impossible to recognize, make something like in "Battlefield", when you aim at someone and he is friendly, turn on his name. 3. Radio operators cannot comunicate, why? Why we cannot see tanks that our teamates have allready spot on the map? Theese changes will bring alot of people in SIM mode.

Here is what you need to do to be good at Sim battle : Choose a spot that will camouflage your tank while giving you a good frontal (and side view if possible). Stay there and ambush other tanks. Do not move the whole game UNLESS your flag is being capped. What I do is I stay close to my own flag. A bit behind or on the side. I ambush there the whole game. If we get cap, I tell in chat to my teammate to continue their work towards the enemy, and I go kill the tanks that are capping. I only move when victory is obvious or when I got spotted by the enemy. Then I will relocate to a new position. I also ambush in towns, those are risky but great. Hide behind a house, close to your cap. When the enemy is rushing for the cap, theyl pass by you and then youl have access to their ass. Shoot, kill, repeat. I usually get around 3 to 6 kills per game when I do that. And I always start by choosing a plane first.

Conveniently left out that aircrafts are also present and very annoying in tank SB, most bushes and even buildings can be removed using low quality settings, that the vehicles available are severely limited as rotating events, medium and light tanks gets extra spawns, piss poor rewards for the time and effort, still hit cam enabled...... etc etc etc...

+Aenonar You just need a good AA on your team. I pretty much only play AA in sim and I always clean the skies with little difficulty. It's just people not wanting to take on that role, which is weird because it's really easy (compared to a sim pilot's job) and is a great way to grind.

Nixod I've played as AA several rounds, but the gameplay is pretty much just sit and wait and hope an enemy plane flies by and doesn't get shot down by your own air or any other AA, or just suicide bomb because it's way different to be an effective pilot in SB. If no enemy air pops by you've just wasted like 20 minutes or more getting 0 points, which seem to happen about 8-9 out of 10 games for me. Then as soon as I get back into my tank that can actually be useful I get bombed -.-' It's just pointless. They had an idea about combined battles, added in aircrafts and thus needed AA, but air didn't work but now they already had AA in the game so they must have air for them to shoot down. The game isn't anywhere near ready for it and the balance is just awful. Plus for whatever stupid reason they converted all the game modes into combined battles instead of just special events... I'm sick of getting killed by enemies I can't do a damn thing about. I want to play the game to have fun, not to drag myself through boring shit or hope I don't get bombed. It's like flying bombers in RB, just fly to target, drop bombs, return to base, repeat. Good points? It's alright. Useful for the match? Not really. Boring? Hell yeah, might as well play single player.

Aenonar Well all I can say is that I've had a different experience with AA than you have. Usually I get at least one air kill and some matches it's like Star Wars above me the whole time with all the aircraft. I tend to play AA to relax really, since it's mostly just waiting and watching. Suits me better. But I totally understand that some people will find it boring. I agree with you that there really was no need to add combined battles since aircraft will easily take out tanks nearly every time. I'm pretty certain it (and other things like MG's on tanks) only exists for the "wow" factor and to compete with World of Tanks. I feel you there, I stopped playing arcade because every minute or so I would get suicide bombed by some idiot in a heavy bomber. It happens far less in RB and SB but it is still annoying.

Sure the instructions are helpful but there's a dang hole in the engine block the size of my fist. The hole represents the one you put in the sim community when you made it an "event".

What I learned, don't customize tanks, (TBH I don't mind the decals except stupid shit where vehicels are covered in their fucking parade colours, U.S.A., Mexican flags, Orange Circles and Rising Suns covering the tank, stands out and looks stupid especially if you are on my team), to look like a bot....always shoot the bots

Common problems in War thunder, Russian 85mm is damm tooo powerful(buffed), Bombers are weak as paper no resistance, USA tech tree is overtiered, Russians tanks perform better than in real life, AND YES RUSSIAN BIAS IS ACTIVE.

Whale Thunder if we compare gun count on bomber then yes they are strong, but if we compare damage model they are weak as shit, unless you play in sim 5.0 - 6.0 then yes they kind not bad.

да-да, только вот этим бедолагам и сиденье мозги пудрить про симулятор. Никого не смузает, что элементарно не соответствует действительности таблица пробиваемости - когда, например, ис-2 1944 снарядом бр-471д (230 мм под 0 гр. с 10 м) не пробивает в щеку КТХ (180-185 мм хрупкой немецкой брони позднего периода войны под 15 гр.). Бог с ним, с КТ, но вы кидаете т-10м и мауса против ис-2, т-44. Я уж боюсь пробовать играть на м26, у которого ни брони, ни подвижности. Там наверняка ещё больше боли.

Развне хорошо кода пробитие 185 а корма противника 200. или 89 против Тигра. на сегодняшний день НЕ возможно играть даже среднему игроку на 4 ранге. т54 приходиться качать играя 2 ранге. мауса качать не начем. т32 качать зубы скоро выпадут уже!
