5:12 If I remember correctly, the argument is that you're fighting in the spanish civil war to gain army experience. On historical AI, republican spain will essentially never win no matter what you do, so sending them your volunteers instead of nationalist spain will mildly prolong the war and gain you significantly more XP, but will still result in a Nationalist victory. Since Nationalist spain generally won't join the axis anyways (and if they do it will be super late game), weakening them that early in the game does nothing to their very limited usefulness in the long-term while giving you a nice experience boost while it still really matters.

If you do decide to run a other tank challenge, unlocking lvl 2 in maintenance companies unlocks easy maintenance which will add reliability and slight cheapen how much your tanks overall production cost. Also adding supply planes to your army will mostly negate the effects of low supply along as you have air bases they can follow. Look forward to see you trying it again for sure 👍👍

Just so you know, the Netherlands' "Gateway to Europe" minigame is completely pointless in single player. As you note after the fact, having historical focuses on means the Netherlands are scripted to cave to the British, but it gets worse. If you have historical focuses off then they will *still* be railroaded to some outcome of this, you just won't know what it is necessarily. The Netherlands will spend their own PP to get to their scripted outcome so it is always a waste for the player to take part, which is a shame because it could have been an interesting minigame.

Oh my good god, playing only tanks is one really bad introduction on how tanks work in this game, you want them in a template with motorized or mechanised battalions... you are basically doing a more creative artilliery only game.

Tank devisions only are a really brokenly overpowered way to play this game, you just need to know how to build a decent template for them, the ones you made had low org/HP and were therefore no different from artilliery only. Supporting them with infrantry divisions does nothing. You want and must have infrantry in the template, preferably motorised and from there you can go with swarm tactics, they do not need micro if you got enough of them since they overrun enemies making deliberatly designing encirclements unnecessary.

tried same challange and few mistakes i think you made , as i done similar run historical and normal -not getting rudolf hes ( i know he dies but before he does you get more PP) -Not building mediums (you wont be fighting almost at all exept netherlands all way to poland 1939-1940ish , and with that you can just produce light tanks for a year , and swift to medium after you reserch first non pre war medium) and lights are kinda garbage -you can anex netherlands before ww2 starts , use first PP to justify on them , that will give you lots fuel(infinite) and rubber as 3 puppets you can make are great assets , anex the netherlands themselfs -tanks rely on being good , doing mass cheap ones without meitenance companies or hospitals is generaly bad call , they do really reduce atricion and menpower , paired up with reduced supply they bode better -you can do 1 colab on yugo and 1 colab on czechoslovakia , getting that juicy 30% compliance gets you a lot factories -planes are important -spies also i managed to fold france , and belgium and poland but....i made one mistake , i forgot...to take netherland navy (another reason to anex them as you can yoink their navy and their puppets , that way you can invade uk) , and if i done that...id invade uk after , but i made that mistake and war dragged till soviet attacked i keep forgetting to get navy like 50% of time as its new mechanics , dutch not have a lot but its just about to get you over treshold of doing sea invasion even if you not build much of navy i made few other mistakes here and there but its doable challange , just would take a bit more practice , "early netherlands" is one of my fav germany strats tho oh and you can send volunteers to etiopia , if you wana be cheap just planes , 15-30 air xp like in first few months is not shabby

@@Taureor poland honestly...is not relevant much as by time you anex it ww2 happens so "collabs" wont give you much till peacedeal happens , having czechoslovakia at 30% helps both with factories and resistances , just make sure you dont do Anchslus before war with netherlands or before , becouse WT can get to 25 and they will get guaranteed , fuel comes from that one puppet in south America(small island) , rubber from indonesia
