It's called taking the time to inspect them, look at their achieves and ask a few questions about their class/spec/gemming/etc. Takes only a few moments, and saves lots of time and trouble. GS addons don't tell you if the gear is set up properly, either, or is right for the situation, or for the class/spec. GS addons are a complete waste of time, and people put far too much stock into them. Those people are lazy and bad.

It's the same distance to run either way, we'd rather just let the ranged sit on the boss.

our first attempt on this boss. 10 man. 4 of us were guildies rest were pugs...unable to down here cant pass phase 1...group consisted of druid adn pally tank, 2 rogues, ele shaman, retadin, lock, holy paladin, resto druid, and holy priest. we kept retadin on boss to drain mana...we kept trying to do this but eventually the casters would spawn and rape our healers before tanks could get to tehm becuz they were kiting teh big meleers... not sure how we will down this. called it for the night.

A clean install is when you completely wipe your hard drive and reinstall Windows. I didn't really mind resetting add-ons either, but switching characters reset them, so I had to keep reapplying all my settings, which took about like 25 minutes (I have many add-ons and key bindings). Also, the first 2 times this happened, I did redo my god awful amount of 50+ macros, which took 2 hours, but I kind of gave up with that afterwards, and only set up 'temporary' macros that I use in ToGC and such.

Upgrading to Windows 7 will keep resetting all of your add-ons (ie you need to set them again every log in), all macros will be gone, and key bindings will be reverted back to default. To prevent this, you will need to do a clean install of Windows 7. Gameplay: for me it seems to be a lot better, I doubled my fps during 25 mans from 15 to 35 :D

As far as I can see he's using the following addons: Bartender - Elkano's Buffbar - Grid - Pitbull 4.0 - PallyPower - Recount - Omen - (Possibly Prat 3.0) - Deadly Boss Mods - Seems like FuBar or something at the top screen, haven't been using it before so might be wrong.

i have skinner too but i have a problem; it has a random black square-type thing on my screen. its about in the middle vertically and between middle and right side of screen, its dark but slightly transparent.. wtf is it? anyone know how to get rid of it? this vid helps a lot btw, ty

Yes upgrading from Vista. I had this problem and really didn't know what to do until my friend explained the problem. It seems that when upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista, the secrurity authenticator of both systems counteract each other, making some programs (like WoW add-ons and key bindings).

my laptop is barely 2 years old and it is always around 20 fps in raids with hardly any addons and lowest quality settings I can get. Do you know anyways to get my fps up? im using vista atm, does switching to Windows 7 do anything?

if you watch he is using SoCommand on trash and switches to SoVengeance/Seal of corruption on the boss because dps is maximised when fully stacked which would take too long for trash also it increases aoe dmg when the mobs are tanked together :)

Ok your WoW directory might've been moved. So C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft is where it's default location is. Another possible place it could be is C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft (mine's there atm). Check to see if it's there

just to clear any confusion if you hav the curs of tampor and cast a spell with no cooldown that spell with be un useable reguardless if it even has a cooldown so if your a healer try not to heal much until it is dispelled

mana drain does almost 1500 drain per tick making it alot effective than life tap and pulling DPS at the same time, so yeah lock should life tap on 1st phase. how ever a lock shoulnt drain all the time but only when OOM.

@sabbalo the original WoW UI is so disgusting its so boring and unhelpful i havent used it in over 3 years now the new UIs and addons u can get make the game so much more enjoyable in my opinion

@IceInVeins turn on the projected textiles then you will see it you don't have to have spell density on high i have mine on the lowest and can see the dnds projected textiles is all you need
