Sadly your nearly right- unfortunately like a lot of things- these are now made in China- and don’t quite have there appeal or sound of the original Tannoy that’s one reason why the vintage tannoy,s are sort after

I purchased the Tannoy Gold Reference Sterling from Kevin. Gave me a terrific deal. And I love them. Wish I could afford the Canterburys. Anyone reading this, buy any of the gold reference line, you will never regret it. In fact this evening I listened to "This is Julie London" 45 rpm, and she was in the room with me. You can buy it from Acoustic Sounds.

I always enjoy these videos. Your passion comes through. Only problem is that when I did order online, I was treated quite badly by your customer service agents. I am an airline pilot from South Africa and ordered equipment to be sent to the hotel. My order was canceled and I was refunded. Your agents explanation as to why seemed bizarre. Such a pity. Always been a fan. I ordered Tannoys and an Amplifier from another supplier and had no problem shipping it to a hotel

I saw a pair of Tannoy Canterbury GR's on Audiogon for sale. They were two years old and in pristine condition. The gentleman wanted $13,000 for the pair. It killed me not to able to purchased them. They sold within hours.I have the Tannoy GR Sterling's and should my financial situation improve I'd buy the Canterburys in a heartbeat. My Amp is a Luxman and it compliments them nicely.

Kevin, As good a job as you did in the video there is almost no way to express the neutral capability of these speakers. I speak as an owner. The driver is f’n amazing , the cabinet craftsmanship is outstanding, and nothing I say will come close to actually auditioning them. My great great grandchildren will be enjoying these some day. BTW, I drive mine with a pair of VTL MB450’s and love them. Edit: Forgot to say thank you for all your reviews.

When I bought my tannoy Kensington gr prestige they cost 11 grand. 5 years later they sell in the uk now for almost 19 grand. The value of these speakers goes up all the time. There is a reason why. They only make a certain amount and they have high demand because tannoy are one of the best makers if not THE best speaker makers on the planet. Once you hear these drivers you never go back.

The Audioholics guys know how to cater to dull clods who have no idea how good audio can really sound. What they tell us makes the clods feel like they are doing alright ... So, they found their niche, and will tell their following what they want to hear. In turn, Kevin wants to tell us what we can hear. I recently unsubscribed Audioholics after hearing them out for several years. I used to sell audio, and they are the type of salesmen that worked the chain stores telling folks that their average sounding systems are as good as they get.

I have heard, "California is the granola state -- the land of fruits, nuts, and flakes." California grows about 90% of fruits and vegetables that go to market in the United States, so it is true. I do not think that is what people are talking about when they say it, though. I guess they want to insult about 15% of the U.S. population. By the way, Mick Jagger over your shoulder wants to know why you did not mention him when you mentioned singers. :)
