I have the Origin8 tires too. So quiet compared to loud stock Rad tires. I don’t have the Tannus inserts and run the tires at 14-15 psi. I may go lower. I know several others have mentioned self-steer but I have never experienced it. I’m not sure what that even means. I tried to purchase the Tannus inserts several weeks ago but they are so popular that they’re usually out of stock. I am very interested in your experiences using the inserts. Thanks for the video.

I used baby powder. Helped a lot and smells sweet now! Not too difficult just the last few inches needed couple nylon tyre levers. Hope they settle into place properly. Again the powder should help. 1st trip out tomorrow. Trek Rail 5 29 x 2.6. Massage? Hit it all around with a piece of wood!

Hi, Saw your video on the Tannus Armour Tire Liner for the RadRover. I could not find a video of you telling us how they are working out. Could you tell me how you like them? I am in central Washington, Moses Lake to be exact. I did not know about the thorns here ( I came from Minnesota). So in less than two weeks of owning my RadRover 6 Plus I got a flat. I did order the Tannus Armour for my bike based on others videos, But I would still like to know how yours is holding up with the tannus armour since your also in Washington State. I liked your video since I am also elderly and here in Moses Lake we have very few bike shops,so I am forced to fix things myself unless I rent a trailer to haul my bike to Kennewick, or Wenatchee. So with that being said I am glad it wasn't to difficult for you to put those in yourself. So I am going to give it a try.

Good morning, Thanks for watching the video. You might want to subscribe and click the bell as you may find some of the other videos on the channel worth watching too, though to take the rides you will need to have a bike rack to be able to transport your Rover. Ok, on to your question. I no longer have the Rover, but highly recommend the Tannus Armour. I have them on my new bike too. Between the two bikes I have a couple thousand miles, some of them on the Palouse to Cascades Trail, and have had no flats. Now watch, I'll go out today and get one just because I said that. And, finally, from Minnesota to Moses Lake!?!?

@@e-BikeLife Moses Lake is just a stepping stone for us. We wanted to get away from the super cold weather. My other half still works, I am retired. Moses Lake is a lot better than Minnesota for winters, but our goal is San Diego. How ever we do like Washington so far.

@@scotiez San Diego is a nice goal, but housing prices there make Seattle, where we used to live, look uber cheap in comparison. We landed in Yakima because my wife has children and grandchildren here.

@@e-BikeLife I am sorry to bother you again, but your the only honest person i have come across talking about this with actual experience with this product. So i have a couple of more questions if that's ok. Have you experienced any flatness in the armour since you installed this? People with no experience is telling me they will flatten and you must remove the air pressure from the tires after every ride. And last question is What air pressure do you run in the tires compared to the pressure the tire recommends?
@e-BikeLife2 жыл бұрын
@@scotiez No bother, at all. I’m using the Tannus on the bike that replaced the River. Combined I must have about 2000 miles with them. I’ve never experienced any “flattening”. As for air pressure. The Schwalbe Marathon eBike tires I have on my Cube say up to 60psi and I run them at 50. But, in mind mind, we all have different preferences. So, multiple trials have gotten me to a place that is good for me.

Oh man I have been thinking about these!!

Do not trim the liner down. I have these on my rad rover mini and I ordered tubes with them and they came with 20X4 Inch tubes. I only ordered tubes because my old ones had a lot of patches. I am running between 10 and 15 Lbs of air pressure front and back. and like the improved ride.

What size tube did you use? The guy at our local bike shop said try to put the 26x4 tube in

Oh, my. That was so long ago (4 years?) I don't remember. If I remember correctly, I purchased them directly from Tannus, tires and tubes. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Went in easy I see. Good.

It's my understanding that not only will the liners give you superior protection against flats, but also improve the smoothness of the ride. I think in combination with the Origin-8's, you'll really be good to go.

Nice video thinking about ordering the Tannus. How did the ride change or did it and do you like the extra protection provided by the Armour.
@e-BikeLife3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t notice any change in ride. I like them so much, that I had them installed immediately on my new CUBE Kathmandu and on my wife’s new Blix Aveny.

I haven’t had a flat in I don’t know how long and I have noticed no difference in ride. In fact, I like them so much that I had them installed when I got my new bike a few months ago.
