Installation tip: I also used some footpowder\talcum in the tire and then in the liner, which helped with ease of installation. It allowed the liner and tube to go in smooth and allow for easy adjustments. The first tire was the hardest as you learn the technique. So far, my wife and love them, especially since we live out here in So Calif, home the "goathead" thorn! 🙂

I just installed a set and yes, putting the inner tube valve through the rim was a pain in the ass. You have to make sure that the rubber liner that protects the inner tube from the spokes has the valve stem opening lined up with the valve stem opening on the rim.

I just ordered the Tannus Armour tire liners for my RadRover 6 Plus. I was wondering what tire pressure do you run in your fat tire ebikes? On the Tannus website it says Ebikes can run at normal tire pressure but i hear a lot of people running less air pressure. Also how is the ride? Is it smooth or is it a harsh and stiff ride? Have you ever taken the tire apart to see if the Tannus liner has flattened out in your bike? And Do you still use the Tannus Armour since this video you put out is over a year old. Sorry for so many questions. Your video seems more professional then a lot of other video review that i have watched.

I have a Lectric XPremium which has 20"X4" Chaoyang tires, and I still have the slime currently, but when it comes time to replace that, does Tannus or someone else have a good solution? I would sacrifice all kinds of comfort to know I had the most dependable, resilient tire setup possible.

I didn't see this video until after trying to install the tube into the tannus.. I was wondering why it was Crunched up a bit in the tube not fully expanding. I didn't have this problem with my 26 inch tires on my other bike when using tannus amor. If I have 20x3 tires then What size tube should I op down to for it to fit inside the 20x3 tannus armor?

Hello. Thanks for the informative video. I was on the Tannus website and noticed that for the 20x4 inch tires, there are two liner sizes available: one for tires from 3.0 to 4.0 inches and the other for tires from 4.0 to 4.8 inches. Which would be recommended for a 2019 Radmini which has 20x4 inch tires since it seems that both of the inserts have the 4.0 value in their specifications. Thanks for any help you are able to give.
@EbikeEscape3 жыл бұрын
I'd shoot Tannus a message and ask what the recommendation would be. But from my perspective, do you ever plan to go smaller on the tires? If so then you might want the smaller liners.

Best way to avoid getting a hole in your tube is to ride on the sidewalks... All of my problems with nails are when I'm in the "bike debris" lane or the side of the road that's never cleaned properly. Unfortunately a nail will go right through any of these liners.

Great video! are you still able to run the tires at the same tire pressure with these liners? I'm curious if they soften the tire if there will be more resistance and lower battery mileage? Thanks for any input you might have. Oh, and what tire pressure are you using?
@RideTannus3 жыл бұрын

@@RideTannus what psi are you using on the 26x4 tire with the liners installed?
@EbikeEscape3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eric, I'll let the experts respond but great question.
@Brandon_Neil3 жыл бұрын
How did your tire psi preference change after you installed the liners? One main reason besides the obvious protection for me is the ability to run lower pressures ( most noteably on fat tires ) while also haveing more cushion for a smoother ride. Between my cheap front suspension, suspension seatpost and fat tires at low pressure my bike feel so comfy.
@EbikeEscape3 жыл бұрын
More testing needed but the liners seem to add some stiffness. So if you like your tires with a super low air pressure then this might change just how low you can go.
@myscreen2urs2 жыл бұрын

wait how much can you squeeze the sides of the liner. I've got a brake clearance issue where I'd need to deflate my tires abit to get the whole tire past the rimbrakes.. 🤔 this could be an issue if I can't press the liner in past the brakes.
@EbikeEscape2 жыл бұрын
There is typically a way to "disengage" the rim brake and give you clearance for removal. But without air the liner can be moved around easily, so they may still work. -JT
