Dimarzio only make passive electric bass and guitar pickups. The bass itself is active though

Sadowsky bass ' have built in active circuits, however, most of what your listening to is passive. There is a straight wire bypass on Sadowsky bass' Hope that helps, Larry

I only have one Jazz bass, it is a fretless. I started as a P guy, but my favorite set up is 2 humbuckers with 2 V-T knobs over a PJ. Jazz set ups seem so, um persnickedy? Is that a word? Anywho Rock On Tanya! :>)

I just installed a pair of Relentless J's into my Fender Vintera 70's Jazz Bass. It has a 7 1/2" fretboard radius, so these pups are perfect to compensate for that. They sound absolutely awesome.

Yes, but she demoed the individual pickups in the bypass mode and the both together through the Sadowsky preamp. Relentless Js will also make a Squire better as well. Hope this helps, Larry
