Satisfying fret nibs removal on Gibson Les Paul Traditional

As I said earlier, stainless jumbo frets are very popular here. Of course, it's not necessary to remove the nibs for such refrets. Someday I'll show you a video of refret with nibs saving or reconstruction. But not today 🙃
Also we launch YT sponsorship, and already have educational content about fretworks.
Detailed description of video, tools and agents used will be a bit later on my Patreon.

Thank you for great feedback! Also want to inform you about YT scam. Scammers pretend to be me, tell you that you win something (or other nonsense) and you need to talk outside the platform. If you see messages like this - report and block 😉

Hello. I hope you see this message. I see you were slotting an unslotted bridge. I recently purchased one and the company I bought it from said there are plenty of KZbin videos out there showing what to do with this. There isn’t from what I found. One of the videos showed them pounding a string to create the slot. Do you recommend us or just filing the groove?

I wish I could report the scammers. I get the same message every time I watch one of your videos. It's always someone who goes under your name on telegram. It's in the notifications, but that only gives me the option to "mute" that person. No option to report them, or block them. YT is such a joke sometimes.

I'm crazy I paid and I went to the airport message telling me chat on telegram lol Africans group men escros crooks who are making fun of you!!!!! always ask for the cam to see if it's really the person talking to you :) now you know it's bullshit!!! and the artist gabriela or others are now free of guilt :)

Grab a cheap guitar and giver it a go!! I did my first refret a while back, I even re-radiused the fingerboard... it was a cheap Glarry Strat that I made into a reverse pattern Rory Gallagher Strat... I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I done a video on my channel and would love to know what you think?

Amazing how much difference no nibs makes to the look (for the better too in my opinion) and nice to see someone else top-wrapping the bridge :) its the future i tell thee ;) Great work as ever lass On a side question what file are you using for crowning? Better to string as usual, the raise the stop tailpiece til you get the tension you want. That way you can keep the angle the strings go over the bridge at at high as possible. A lot of bridges are not high enough to keep the angle with a wrap over. I have done it that way for 40 years on all my bridge/stop tailpiece guitars.

@@richsackett3423 There's nothing wrong with breaking the glue seal with very light taps. Lots of luthiers do that. Beautiful work. When I do refrets, instead of using thin super glue on the sides of the frets, I use medium or thick super glue in the fret slot. That way it almost never gets on the fretboard and I avoid having to use a chisel to clean it up. Excellent work though!
