A wonderful set of images Andrew, complemented by a terrific soundtrack. Many thanks for sharing these with us. Also, it's great to see micro four thirds holding its own with regard to image quality! After seeing these I might even hang on to my trusty old G9 (although I might trade up up to the mk ii if and when the price drops below a full frame!)

They are all hand-held. You can't leave the vehicle on the game drives, so they are all taken from the back of a landcruiser. The best you can do is rest your elbows on the side of the vehicle, so it's a testament to the great image stabilisation on these cameras.

Great images and video Andrew. We will be visiting mid February, so getting excited and hoping to get some memorable shots. I'll be taking my new G9ii + Pana/Leica 100-400mm (mark 1), G9 + Pana/Leica 12-60mm and I'll have Pana/Leica 8-18mm in the bag as well. Do you think it is worth also taking the Pana/Leica 50-200mm to use in early morning/evening instead of the 100-400 because of its lower f-stop, or realistically not worth carrying it around?

If you can justify the extra weight, you might be happy to have it. My most difficult time getting good photos is in the very early morning and the very late afternoon. As you know these cameras don't do so well at very high ISO. It's the reason I'll be taking a telephoto on my full frame this year - to get the photos I really can't do well on the M4/3 cameras.

Здравствуйте, ваши снимки чудесные. Мне понравились фотографии, где вы снимали камерами микро 4/3 Panasonic Lumix GH6, G9 . На мой взгляд камера Panasonic Lumix S5 Mark ii в данной съёмке лишняя, это дополнительный груз. Фотографии снятые на микру 4/3 не уступают по качеству полному кадру. Удачи!

Which month is better for Serengeti wildlife, June or July?

I have never been in July, but I imagine both would be very similar. All my tours have happened in May and June.
