I ride from Makamba in Burundi, to Kigoma, in Tanzania, on the shore of lake Tanganyika, deep in remote Africa.
At the border, unexpectedly, I meet some fellow European cyclists.

Nyerere was unmatched in wisdom. He was the first African head of state to state that European partition of Africa should never cause any social-political tensions between independant African new borders. If you were rwandan and then now you find yourself in Tanzania after partition, you're tanzanian 100%. Try to tell that to Congolese politicians!

I feel so nostalgic watching this vlog as I was born in Uganda and I realise how we took it for granted the lush green landscape with rolling hills and tropical flora and fauna. Now I cherish it more and more and missing it. Also listening to Swahili which we grew up with is nice to hear.. Lake Tanganyika is the deepest crater lake. You are the only blogger on a tricycle so you are capturing the beauty of Africa at an eye level hence makes it realistic. You must be somewhere in Zambia by now.

#Swahili: In _Kenya_ 🇰🇪 on the street, it's more common to use "Mambo?" (= "[how are] things?") as an informal greeting than "Habari yako?" (= "news yours?", meaning "how are your news?"
