On the way, I stop for lunch in a remote village, and the locals get very curious at this funny foreigner who suddenly appeared in their town.

yes, at least Kenya does not glorify a terrorist. Someone responsible for the loss of so many innocent lives including in Kenya with the US Embassy. Take aways are plastic bottles, usually 600mls for the price of 1000tsh while the one you had is a glassed one with 350mls which we normally never take away.

The thing that always surprises me on Yves journey is that seemingly miles and miles from anywhere there are always some people just walking along the road , not sure where they are from or where they are going , I guess they have a mission looking to work or get food ? I sometimes struggle to visit a supermarket just 10 minutes by regular bus from my home ! I have to take my hat off to these people .

Normally there are villages deep on both sides of the road. So, they walk along the road then somewhere take the left or the right. Yves goes straight to the 'big' centers. Of course yeah, sometimes they have to walk from their villages to the nearby 'downtown'.
