First day of my ride from Uvinza to Mpanda, in the wild Western Tanzania, in Africa.
It's a very difficult section of my journey as there is no electricity on the way between Uvinza and Mpanda, and it's almost 200 kilometers of dirt road... quite a challenging adventure!
My book (in English and in French): www.amazon.com... also www.amazon.fr/...

Greetings from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. My wife and I watch all your videos, and we really enjoy them. My wife thinks I am going to do the same thing soon across Africa, and she said she might come with me on that journey, but we do not have the muscle to do this.. lol. Anyhow, I was thinking, why don't you consider using solar-charging batteries for your bike? You always had the issue of worrying about charging the bike in Ethiopia, Sudan, and Kenya. Maybe you could ask the bike's factory to design a bike with solar-charging batteries. It would be a game-changing technology, so you can keep moving without worrying about finding a charging station. Thanks for these great videos.

It depends on who is creating the content I guess. One guy likes showing bad things, the other -good things. Thanks to Yves for showing Africa the way it is. And I am surprised of how majority of people are friendly in Africa- complete opposite to majority of people from "the West"- show off, ignorant, selfish and fake.

Wish you can show the date in your vlogs so we know which month you were crossing Tanzania. You keep wearing warm clothes I guess due to elevation the temperature drops. What a beautiful terrain but treacherous roads. Red soil is so nostalgic. You were lucky to find fresh stream of water. Water is ample in fertile equatorial belt of Africa. Rough journey but Hakuna Shida. Snake, rain in isolated jungle to camp. Wow! waiting for next episode
