I love the "ah-hah!" on someone's face when I succeed at teaching something. They teach me as well. The more I have to explain, the more I have to process fully and understand.

yes i love that. i love when someone returns to me after a time and reminds me of something id said, and how it influenced change in their lives.

It's a hard process learning what the teacher is trying to get thru to you. But when it finally sinks in the transformation is miraculous . Some teachers are better than others and the process always takes time .

@@marcusarilus yes i agree. sometimes the lessons aren't what we first expected, either.

Interesting thoughts. I think we tend to think of teachers the way we experienced them in school when we were kids. It seems like those teachers who see themselves as superior, just because they have more knowledge of a certain kind, are the worst. Learning is best done as a two way street where we exchange knowledge. I think you are a great teacher because you seem to have a good understanding of how people learn.
@SavannahRayReynolds2 ай бұрын
they are the worst, indeed. we're all learning from each other.

and i appreciate that! that's what i have learned for myself; i need teachers who are flexible yet strong in the lessons they bring. so i intend to be the same way in the way i teach.

I think that it is hard to comprehend most of what is taught in a lecture or similar setting. There are a few reasons for this. For example, in a classroom or lecture, there is always a set time for the lesson. Lecturers go point by point according to their schedule or plan. Students should think slowly and carefully about the details, but they simply can’t do that because of the time constraints. Another point is that you can only think about one thing at a time, which restricts your point of view about the matter you are learning. Because of this, it is good to revisit the teachings and debate them in your mind repeatedly if you wish. Thank God for technology, as many lectures are recorded, allowing you to ‘go back in time’ whenever you wish and experience the whole lesson again and again for better understanding. Love and peace. ✌

totally. youtube and recorded lecture, podcasts, etc is huge for helping us absorb and integrate lessons! in essence, allowing us to create our own individual philosophies and spiritually. pulling on so many different teachings.

Who am I to say your path is wrong, and mine is right? I just think there is a reason why our paths have intersected.....for whatever reason it is, but you never ever stop learning.....im 60, and I learn new things every day, and I look forward to learning things from you as well!

Sometimes the student is wise beyond the teacher. Even if the student is a small child. Though of course American public elementary school is inferior to alchemical, taoist, qigong education. When I was eight years old, I saw through society's artificial constraints. While the adults around me were busy maintaining their comforting delusions, I was already grappling with truths they seemed afraid to confront.

@@foodwatermusic i feel you on seeing through societies bull shit. very frustrating to see the way adults were 'acting'. like... something is VERY incorrect here.
