I trained with Master Bruce what he was in NY in 1975. I am not a meditator nor a health nut, I learned internal arts for self defense, and it has literally saved me during the hundreds of interactions I have had during a career in security and nightclub management, not to mention coming home just before dawn five or six nights a week for decades. I do something for months like a crazy person in order to evaluate it, and then proceed to undergo the thousands of repetitions it takes for the body to develop muscle and nerve memory. At 68 years of age, I am open enough that I practice applying circulatory flow dynamics to change position.

have you been able to heal any physical issues with it?
@tommyprotrampx Жыл бұрын
@@rmleider I can cure head pain using my Qi. When my head hurts I focus my Qi into the head. Pain go away and instead there is nice warm feeling filling my head and eyes are very relaxed. The only way to build up your Qi is by flowing it with your mind from one body part to other part. And after some time your Qi flow will be so strong that goosebumps appear on all of your body. So you can turn on goosebumps by focusing your Qi. This is the Qigong secret that master Bruce never said anything about on his youtube channel. Good luck!

People doubt his skills because of the way he looks now. Those who knew him back in the 60s and 70s can all attest to the fact that he was once a hardcore no-nonsense martial artist you wouldn't want to mess with.
@davyj52163 жыл бұрын
Controversial. There are anecdotes floating around that yes he was a bit hardcore, but by putting his opponents at unnecessary risk of injury, i.e. outside of the ethics demanded by wu de or of competition. Don't know how true that is, but going by the his manner today I wouldn't discount it.

Ive found since ive began practicing tge internal arts i hit things or run into things and it does not hurt my bones, i have more energy, i need less sleep. It feels amazing i feel the energy. Internal arts requires learning soft arts, internal is learned in hard style arts too but the exertion is much more than soft style which explains much in study of nature, lifting then needing to relax, how with soft instead of exerting energy you move it around instead of wasting it like in hard style to strengthen your external parts.

Thanks for uploading, you should have put this up years ago. I previously had doubts about kumars abilities and thought he may be another fraud. In fact kumar is clearly a formidable martial artist and that can be seen on film. Highly skilled and there are not many teachers with this level of skill in the West.

I use Tai Chi to keep off medication for blood pressure. I bought Tai Chi Health For Life by Bruce to learn more about Tai Chi. I have a background in Silat and Escrima and began Tai Chi and Bagua 12 years ago. I don't care how good you are at killing! No one wants medication.

I grew up in a party house in the Hollywood Hills because my father was a famous musician. I lived in the redwood forest with creeks and wild orchids in Santa Cruz, California, for a year, and fasted 45 days. I didn't know how to meditate yet. A nurse friend gave me a book about Buddhism, almost 7 years ago now and I am very interested in nonviolence and meditation as a way of life! Love, Mike.

@paul w I lived in a sleepy little small farm town for 15 years and I don't sound like I have to kill people as a way of life. I used to study Agricultural Ecology and Economics in Santa Cruz but dropped to blow glass. I recommend to everyone to get a working knowledge of Tai Chi. I like Wu/Hao and Yang styles.
