There are 2 types of people: Ones that like to go slow and steady, and ones that like being spontaneous and exciting. Lifting weights is generally for the slow and steady folks, since it's easy for them to plan it out and see their progress. Calisthenics is for us spontaneous peeps since we need some element of excitement in our activities.

Just got my wood rings few weeks ago from Rep Fitness, and man they're the BEST equipment that I ever bought for bodyweight training in the next level! My most favorites would be using them for push ups and especially dips. The instability when doing them is amazing as it really does force you to work much harder in balancing yourself to be still when doing proper reps. I feel way more contraction work on my chest for push ups and dips and I love how I am able to move my wrist freely to contract them hard. 10/10 anyone who's into bodyweight training or wanting to do something new to level up their calisthenics skills, gymnastic rings (mainly good quality wood material) are worth to get!
@petarbg1233 жыл бұрын
Amen, I lifted in a gym for 9 years before discovering the rings (I mean actually buying a pair and using em, thank you corona virus) and they changed my life. The workout is definetly more engaging and the strength building is guaranteed, it's impossible to half ass a ring workout the way you can half ass it in the gym if you're feeling "tired"! Also I love training outdoors on a nice sunny day, especially in the woods or on the beach! You can't do that shit in the stinky gyms full of ego lifters screaming their asses off during each rep lol, and also im Bulgarian, it's like my nature called me to do rings! Great video my guy!

I just started recently, and found its pretty much harder than working with bars. My whole body is shaking crazy and i managed to stabilize myself after some couple of static holds. Pull ups are not a problem but dips are hard. Even though it cannot completely replace free weights , its fun and i'm lovin it. Combining it with weight training is much reliable.
