thats the issue i have as well. considering price + quality, luma seems to be the best at the mo but the fact that you cant somehow adjust the video you requested is something they need to fix. other sites at least offer a photo preview so you know you are moving in the right direction before generating the final video. I used kaiber as well which i liked a lot but its double the price to get the same minutes from luma. However! because you can adjust based on previews it might be worth it in the end.

This simply is not true, it will for sure be a new tool of its own but it will be more on the lines of CGI replacing practical FX. Costs to create pilots and short films will be reduced when AI generated video become better, but real films will always be, film making requires hand work and dedication with social interaction and planning, AI text prompts are limited to that of only text but lack emotional connection if what one desires, like texting someone and using emojis to explain your feelings. AI will be of its own field while true film will be forefront. Animation on the other hand could be more in trouble as 2D is easier to replicate.

since luma used to be primarily for photogrammatry, they likely trained their models more heavily on irl objects. people and probably no sleeping animals didnt scan to well (they had to stand completely still for minutes or get edited out)

People keep calling this better than sora but sora does not have as much morphing like I tried luma and the character turned into a plant. Also luma Ai can only make 5 second clips while sora can make 1 minute long clips also sora Ai may be able to generate sound for their videos.

All of these 'Luma is the best AI video generator' videos are either just using sensationalism for clickbait, or lying in order to help drive traffic to their free service, so Luma Labs can train on the data - and potentially release a paid competitor to Sora down the road. I have no problem with such a strategy, but I do take issue (in the form of minor annoyance) with all the channels making the claims that it is "THE BEST" or a "SORA KILLER' lol.

If any of you are seasoned AI veterans, I highly recommend making your videos using images you've already created. It's not that Dream Machine messes up text-to-video, but at this time (2024-JUN-14, early beta) the output is really generic and it has trouble using your adjectives and verbs in the way you intended. Conversely, it reads images stunningly well with very little prompting.

Yeah I've been able to download them, you just need to click the download button under the video. But when you download it, there is a a Luma logo on the video.

I think they have an update planned which will have video inpainting that could possibly do what you're describing. You could try playing with the prompt a bit and ask for specific parts of the video to change.

Hi, I always have the same problems with all AIs - consistency and correction. Unfortunately, as I see, it is not possible to remove/change broken frame in the video. So, broken frames should be changed manually. Or do you have in mind what can be used to avoid/correct video bugs?

If you generate videos with less motion in them, the frames will be more consistent. You could try adding "subtle motion" to the prompts or something like that to reduce the camera movement.

If you're just trying to create a random video or of context - is cool. But if you're trying to create an actual video with a story, and even if you have created great images in midjourney to prompt with, the randomness of Luma, and the lack of control over what's coming out of the other side make it apoor bet. Runway is not nearly as impressive, but at least i know what I'm getting.

I can't get it do anything....stuck an photo on riding a bike.....all it does is buffering forc30 minutes. Can't even stop it. Put a still photo I made of the blob....asked it to add motion....JUST BUFFERING.....and why do you need to add being and ending frames from still photos? Isn't this supposed to animate photos?

If you want a consistent character, the best way is to generate images of a character using an Ai Image tool like Midjourney. Then animate those images in Luma.
