Ery noice bouncing in the intro. I couldn't find any more footage of a TAP 707, so I just repeated it at the end.
Olá! Fleet Histories is a picture presentation series that takes a look at the year-by-year service of aircraft fleets and the disposition of retired airframes, with fleets from all sorts of operators featured. This was mainly inspired by the work of elmauriplatense, Ibirdball, and Scaring Crab.
In 1962, TAP entered the jet age with the introduction of the French Sud Aviation Caravelle on its European network. Expansion of jet services continued with the introduction of the 707 in 1965 and the short-haul 727 two years later. In 1967, the airline became the first European airline to have an all-jet fleet. Widebody 747s were later introduced in 1972 to fly alongside the 707s on intercontinental routes. In 1979, a modernization program was launched, which saw the rebranding of the airline into TAP Air Portugal and the introduction of the L-1011 and Airbus A310 as replacements for the 707s and 747s. The last 707 exited TAP's fleet in January 1989.
