The very best of luck, really hoping you do it. Beautiful scenery for those runs, very lucky to have that plus those road surfaces look amazing. Just did my last long run ahead of berlin, 18 miles, 12 next weekend then fingers crossed. You never know on the day how it's going to feel but you can do no more than put in the work and hope it comes together. Inspiring training over the last 14 weeks so really rooting for you

You've done the work. You're ready to go. Now, it's all about fueling during the race to keep that fire burning hot from start to finish. What's the plan? It seems like modern times are trending to much higher carb intake than days of yore.

I am currently deployed (Djibouti) where it was 107F today. I have a few years on you (52) and have thoroughly enjoyed your videos… so I felt compelled to WISH YOU THE BEST! The hay is in the barn. I’m prepping for a 50k run when I get back home… and Djibouti presents some challenges (air quality, heat) so I have defaulted to the treadmill a fair bit. Also have to ask: In a few of your videos, you appear to be wearing an IHCC sweatshirt. The only IHCC I know if is “Indian Hills Community College” in Ottumwa, IA… (I live in Southeast Iowa when the Army is pulling me around). Again - Best of Luck!

Curious how many km or miles you run at the peak of your training block. And why is it that your runs are not posted on Strava?
@global-runner2 ай бұрын
I run about 90 miles a week at my peak but this time I had injuries that prevented me from doing that. 2 reasons I don’t post everything on strava (1) I’m not a fan - I find myself obsessing over other people’s training rather than focusing on mine so I try not to go there too much (2) I can only upload using my daughter’s laptop and trying to wrestle that off her is impossible. :)
