You can draw the circle using a white chalk pencil from the sewing section only costs a couple of dollars.

Thankyou so much for your excellent tutorials.they are so helpful and informative. I am new to rigid heddle weaving and I don't know what I would do without you.

Hi Luisa, thank you very much! I always have tapestry in the back of my mind, I want to do so much more. I'll try to make more time to do that this year, it's such a beautiful medium.

I wonder if it might not be easier to hold the circle in place with double sided tape? I'm planning on trying shortly anyway. Thank you, it was very useful

Can I do do this weave on the 16” Big Sister?

Yes, you sure can!

Thank you very much. I've been thinking about making a tapestry weaving for above my bed. I live in San Francisco and putting framed art over your bed is a bad idea. In an earthquake it can fall right on your head. So this is such a good alternative to decorate that empty space. I might make two matching ones in a wider and longer length than you're doing. It will obviously require a little planning and a lot of time. Thanks again.

I'm wondering why you didn't tuck the ends into the weaving while you were weaving?
@KellyCasanova6 жыл бұрын
Realistically I should have, but I was just experimenting and having fun, wasn't too worried about what I would end up with.

while I understand you must hand weave with your sheds in neutral under the circle, can you once again use the shedding heddles for the sides to the top for the rest of the tapestry?
@KellyCasanova4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can 😊
@vickistone37004 жыл бұрын
@@KellyCasanova won't the shedding distort and pull at the woven circle when the shedding is being used?
@KellyCasanova4 жыл бұрын
@@vickistone3700 You only use the heddle to open and close the 2 sheds, so as long as you have a clear shed to weave in, you can. If you can't open the sheds properly due to some already woven parts, then needle weaving is best.
@vickistone37004 жыл бұрын
@@KellyCasanova thank you for your time. out off curiosity, can one open and close the sheds with weaving on it? like with your wonderful yellow circle tapestry, could you use the shedding, with say, the yellow circle in the middle of the loom? again, thank you

What did you do with the loose threads sticking out at the sides?
@KellyCasanova4 жыл бұрын
This was just a sample so I wasn't too worried about the loose ends. Normally I would weave them in as I go.
