Sonia sister, you remember me? I text you about my language problems long before. Still trying hard to keep up with. Now i live in New Zealand and i got a big blessing that all my colleagues are either kiwis or British. At first it was like a night mare for me to talk to them. But now i can somewhat understand what they are saying. One day i can also talk like them. You gave me the confidence through your priceless advice. Thanks a ton. Now i am imitating them on the accent. Because if i talk clear , full words as back in India, they can't get me. If i mimick like them, surprisingly i came to know that they can get what i am saying. My immediate reporting is to a British lady. She shows a lot of patience and i am learning new things every day from her. Anyway , Thanks again Sister.

One thing that I can add to your suggestions is reading English news papers. When I was growing up (in the 1970's), my parents subscribed to Indian Express and the Hindu newspapers. They stopped the subscription of Malayalam newspaper Manorama to force us children to read the English news papers. After six months we got hooked to reading the English news paper - even though my parents renewed the subscription of Malayalam newspapers. After 50 years, now at 60 years of age I become teary eyed and bow down before the great farsightedness of my parents (who were neither rich nor affluent)! Their sacrifices paved a way for me and my siblings to master the English language and end up with a very productive and fruitful life overseas!

6 months later ..... ഒരു degree 1 year student ആണ്. Yes Ma'am, you are correct. All these steps will help a person to improve his fluency. And also I would like to put forward another point. That is overcome the fear, fear of mistakes. Malayalees are more knowledgeable people than any other states, especially in English. But the problem is our attitude about English. We think English is like a sacred language. So, we never open the mouth untill perfect fluency. We start to talk any other languages with a few words and some usages. But in English we always expect perfection, fear of mistakes, that make us dumb. First of all we have to change this attitude and ready to open the mouth for speaking in English. In my opinion there is no optimum level of fluency. Every body has their own level of fluency. We can think about betterment not think about perfection. Thank you so much ma'am for your wonderful class.

It would be great if you do a video on Collocations as it plays an integral part in the fluency development. No matter how long the video is, but it's really interesting and would be helpful for those who are not aware of it.
